The product, in the report: Pillow Pets - Glow Pets Unicorn. Blue and green body, purple mane, hoofs and horn
Last night as my 8-year old daughter was going to bed, she screamed for me to come in her room because she said her Pillow Pet Glow Pet was getting hot. I felt it and it was burning to the touch. I pulled it out of her room and opened it up to get to the battery compartment. The compartment was so hot I could not touch it with my bare hands. When I opened the compartment it was starting to melt and the paper on the outside of the batteries was starting to bubble. I took out the batteries, cut the the wires and took it completely out of the pillow to dispose of. I’ve since ripped all the battery compartment out of other Pillow Pets that she has. The batteries had just been replaced, so I checked to see if there were any reports about either the Pillow Pet or the batteries. I found other complaints about the Pillow Pet on this web site - nothing about the batteries. I’m very thankful that this did not happend ten minutes later when my daughter would have been asleep with this in her bed.
