The product, in the report: “lnnoo Tech [REDACTED] Stars Projector Night Light” Fun Constellation Lamp Baby gift
Constellation Turtles [REDACTED] “lnnoo Tech [REDACTED] Stars Projector Night Light” Fun Constellation Lamp Baby gift [REDACTED] Turtle Constellation toys (other than [REDACTED], Inc.) manufactured in China and sold on Amazon.com, Ebay.com, Tastygo.com, Overstock.com, dhgate.com, and other websites accessible in the United States. These toys do not have the required labeling or information, have apparently not met the required testing standards and compliance for sale to children under the age of 12 in the United States. Consumers have purchased these particular toys and reported to us that the toys are defective, unravet and were perceived to be dangerous to their children. There was no labeling and no source of manufacture and the consumers were unable to report the problems to the manufacturer.
Re: Defective, unlabeled Constellation Turtle Products sold on AMAZON.COM, EBAY.COM, OVERSTOCK.COM, DHGATE.COM, TASTYGO.COM and other websites Customer complaints Infringing and Counterfeit Constellation Turtles known as [REDACTED] Reporter: [REDACTED], INC. – manufacturer of [REDACTED] Report: Based on consumer complaints made to [REDACTED] of infringing and counterfeit products; test purchase review and results Dear CPSC: Attached is a Report based on our in-house investigation of numerous consumer complaints sent to [REDACTED], INC., the manufacturer of the authentic [REDACTED] products. Also included is a document showing photographs and postings of the products at issue.
We became aware of this problem when consumers started sending us complaints. We are addressing the infringement and counterfeit issues, but the health and safety issues are quite serious. Thus, the submission of this formal report.
These consumers have purchased infringing and counterfeit [REDACTED] products from manufacturers and sellers who do NOT: 1. Label the products 2. Perform adequate testing 3. Use safe materials that meet U.S. standards for sale to Children and Infants 4. Sell safe toys
We ordered the products at issue, and have also received some of the products at issue directly from the consumers. The products at issue are plush toys with hard shells and electronic components. These toys unravel, have loose electronic parts inside, consist of cheap substandard plush materials, have hard shells that chip and have paint that flakes off, or have sound machines that are too loud for infants’ and childrens’ ears. In our opinion, these products at issue constitute a health and safety hazard to children and also do not conform to U.S. labeling laws. We would greatly appreciate your immediate attention to this matter as it concerns issues relating to the health and safety of children. Thank you. Very truly yours, [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]
