No incident, no one hurt Made Jun 14, 2022, sent to the company Jun 16, 2022, published by CPSC Jul 1, 2022
The product, in the report: Heart shaped night light from Dollar Tree. [REDACTED] Manufacturer sticker on the back has the following information: CONG TY TNHH DEN LED TRANG TRI DONG PHUONG HA NAM 11031665 120V; 60Hz; 0.4W; AC Only non-replaceable LED Date: 2021 CONFORMS TO UL STD.1786 CERTIFIED TO CSA STD.C22.2 NO 256
The cover of this nightlight can easily fall off, exposing 120v solder points that a child could easily touch. The nightlight was not subject to abuse and it appeared to be assembled with very little glue to hold the front to the rear portion of the unit. The unit was plugged in when I noticed the cover had fallen off. My 4 year old said it has happened before and she re-attached it. She was never shocked or hurt to my knowledge.

No one hurt Made Dec 16, 2016, sent to the company Dec 27, 2016, published by CPSC Jan 19, 2017
The product, in the report: Intertek brand name night light. Clear half moon with 2 clear stars inside of it.
Purchased a night light from Dollar General. Brand name is “Intertek” and it is ETL listed. It’s the model with 2 stars inside of a half moon that lights up. When my wife plugged it into a wall plug, it immediately made a loud “pop” and caught fire. I grabbed a large towel and used that to pull it out of the wall. There are black electrical burn marks around our wall socket and there was a distinct electrical burning smell throughout the house.
