The product, in the report: Himalayan Glow® Wavy Pillar Salt Crystal Nightlight Black nightlight with wavy design and orange salt rocks which are piled into the caged area
The Salt Lamp, although newly purchased, almost caused our house to burn down. The rocks are piled into the lamp directly touching the bulb, which is plugged into the outlet. The brand is called Himalayan Glow® Wavy Pillar Salt Crystal Nightlight. Therefore i left the ‘Nightlight” on while i slept. I woke up in the morning to the smell of electrical burning. I went over to the nightlight and noticed the whole product was soaking wet, leaving me puzzled. As i touched the nightlight, I received a nasty electric shock. after unplugging it, a liquid poured out onto my hands, and i realized the lightbulb had gotten so hot it had begun to melt the salt rocks and the bottom of the lamp and all over my carpet was full of hot liquefied rocks. the base of lamp was actually sizzling with liquid as if cooking the rocks in a frying pan. Our house has new wiring and never had a problem with any other plugged in products. This salt lamp product was extremely dangerous and i fear if i hadn’t unplugged it in time a fire would have started, not to mention the shock and the hot rock liquid on my hands.
