The product, in the report: It is a plug-in night light, 4.5 inches long and 2 inches wide. It is decorative: it is filled with a liquid and contains a floating toy turtle, shell(s) and starfish, with a background of an undersea diver. The base is white.
I bought a night light for my 89 year old aunt’s apartment. She said when she went past it in her wheelchair, it was smoking. She pulled it out. It had burned the top of the unit, probably from inside, since it was a good inch from the electrical prongs. Her building maintenance department checked and said there is nothing wrong with the outlet.
This particular night light could easily have been bought for a baby/child’s room..it contains a toy turtle and shell, and is filled with some liquid.
I am so thankful that my aunt was awake and noticed this. It is troublesome to have to do this paperwork, etc., but I can’t ignore the potential for a fire and worse.
