  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 27, 2012, sent to the company Apr 18, 2012, published by CPSC May 2, 2012

The product, in the report: Electric Night Light

Caller purchased night light with AA Battery approximately two years ago and found on March 24, 2012 that the battery had been becoming so hot that it burned a hole on the battery case side and almost burned a hole on the plug side.

She removed the night light from the wall, could not remove the battery from the night light but it is split in three pieces and when she tried to pry it out it imploded within itself.

She has now left it alone.

She contacted the manufacturer Monday, March 26, 2012 who told her how they are replacing the night light with battery for her.

She has stated that if CPSC would like the batter/Night Light she would send to CPSC.

She is reporting as a safety issue due to belief that it could have become hot enough to start a fire.
