No one hurt Made Apr 7, 2023, sent to the company Apr 11, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 25, 2023
The product, in the report: Energizer LED nightlight, model number 16002, sold in a two pack
Product: Energizer LED nightlight, model # 16002
Our LED nightlight has evidence of melting and overheating on the prongs. There is charring surrounding the melted prongs. I’m not sure when this happened as I didn’t notice the burns until I unplugged it for unrelated reasons. The nightlight is about 4 years old and gets moved to different outlets occasionally which allows me to see the prongs, so I believe that the melting happened within the last month or so. No injuries occurred.

No one hurt Made Jul 13, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 3, 2011
The product, in the report: Energizer Weather Ready Compact rechargeable LED light/night light
Energizer Weather Ready compact rechargeable LED light/night light. When plugged in, if it by a passing person or item, the light separates from the flip-out plug, leaving the plug in the outlet and energized. I very nearly was shocked by this when retrieving a light from next to my son’s bed. He had knocked the light down off the flip-out plug and I didn’t realize the plug was still in the outlet and energized until I nearly leaned against it. I sent an e-mail to Energizer on 7/3, got a reply on 7/8 that they were directing the letter to the proper department, no further communication. The flip-out plug is poorly retained, and is dislodged very easily.
