The product, in the report: Bubble Snowman Night Light

The consumer stated that his night light is potential fire hazard. The product goes into a standard outlet and the consumer suspects that the bulb of the product is not replaceable and the product is discarded after it begins to malfunction. The consumer stated that the tip of the bulb apparently burst in the middle of the night and inner contents flew up to the ceiling and dried overnight.

The consumer estimates that the product was on for roughly hours and is unsure at what point the bulb erupted as the consumer was asleep. The product has one small toggle switch to power the bulb on and off and there is no range of temperature for the bulb. The stain on his ceiling is roughly six inches across. The bulb appears to be okay but the tip of the bulb seemingly erupted. The bulb still seems to work.

The lamp was in a bathroom and no one was injured. The consumer stated that the product is in the shape of a snowman hanging on to a candle. The design is similar to that of a lava lamp and when the lamp gets hot the inner fluid contents will bubble. The UL number is E212526. The consumer has yet to call the manufacturer or the retailer since he received the product as a gift.

The consumer has not called the fire department or his home insurance after the incident. The consumer has seen many similar products online with many designs that would appeal to children. The consumer has been using the product with regularity, not necessarily every single night, however.
