The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 16, 2020, sent to the company Jul 21, 2020, published by CPSC Aug 4, 2020

The product, in the report: This is the CloudIsland Bunny Night light sold by Target Corporation. At Target, the item # is 76158982. I believe it is likely that other retailers sell this product. It is a pudgy, white, rubbery-plastic bunny night light.

I purchased a battery powered nightlight called the CloudIsland Bunny Nightlight from Target online. The product is for children to hug and squeeze as a comforting light at night. The battery gate is easily opened, and while there are holes for screws to secure the battery gate closed, there are no screws. I contacted Target for replacement parts. They sent me an entirely new product but there were no screws. I contacted the customer service of the manufacturer who told me their sales person said there are no screws. In this state the product is a risk for severe injury or death by children swallowing the unsecured batteries. This risk is increased as the product is intended for nighttime when children would be left alone with this product when parents are sleeping.
