The product, in the report: LED battery operated child’s pillow with lights
(02/17/2014) The consumer stated that she unzipped the pillow to put in three AAA batteries. When she turned the pillow on, it didn’t work. She rechecked the battery pack to make sure that the batteries were inserted correctly. This is when she noticed that the battery pack was getting hot. The consumer removed the batteries.
When she was removing the last battery, she noticed a smell. She also burned her fingers on the battery.
When her husband got home, she told him about the incident. He looked at the pillow. He put the batteries back in. He was able to make it work. About a minute and a half later, the battery pack got hot again. He removed that batteries and the pillow kept lighting up without the batteries. He took the batteries out again.
The consumer did research on line and found out that the same company recalled their blankets but not the pillows.
The consumer did not require medical attention.
