The product, in the report: The original lime light (LED glow light)
The consumer stated that his wife plugged in a LED glow light. Approximately a few minutes after plugging in the unit, she started to hear strange noises. When she walked back into the room, she saw the face plate blow off the wall and then flames blew out from the receptacle.
The consumer’s wife immediately went to grab the fire extinguisher. When she returned the fire diminished on it’s own. The circuit breaker was later tripped.
The consumer’s wall was burned, which he repainted and he also had to replace the receptacle which cost him approximately $5.
(8/31/2012) The manufacturer was contacted through email and has yet to hear a response.
