The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: ring sling. using fabric and sewn in rings. Used to carry babies and allow for closeness

Nothing has happened as of yet. A friend of mine purchased a sling from an instagram shop. I am knowledgable about DIY babywearing and know which fabrics to use and how the seller must be CPSC compliant. Based off the pictures on IG the fabric contents does not look like a fabric that is safe for babywearing. It looks like for the most part, regular quilters cotton which will tear at weight bearing seams causing the baby to fall out. I had commented on a picture asking for fabric content and if the sling is tagged and tracked and I never received a response. I unfortunately cannot remember the date. Then on Friday 7/11/14 I sent an emal to the sellers email asking the same questions and still have not received an answer. None of the slings posted on her IG shop state any fabric contents and/or show any tags to track the slings for safety. There has not been any reports of accidents however, I would like to prevent any future accidents and make sure the seller is compliant as she has sold a lot of these untracked slings.
