The product, in the report: Konig Kids Manual Wind up musical Mobile with dangling plushy toys. The mount part that attaches to the bassinet, has a screw that tightens the Mobile to bassinet or crib, this is the part that got damaged. The Mobile is off white, the toys are pink & grey colors.
I received a ‘Konig Kids Baby Wind Up Musical Mobile, Owl version.’ As a gift from my baby registry on Amazon. The Mobile was ok for the most part until one day I tried to reposition it on the edge of bassinet by unscrewing & rescrewing the mechanism that holds the Mobile to the bassinet, and I heard something fall from the side of the screw-mechanism part on the base of Mobile. I looked in the bassinet and right next to my sleeping child was a broken sharp piece of small white plastic. My child is 6 weeks old and can’t roll over but does move her head and wiggle around in her sleep...had she grasped the plastic piece accidentally and put her fist to her mouth (as babies do) she could have swallowed it. Or it could have gotten lodged in her ear...the scenarios are endless. I am assuming I maybe tightened the screw part too tight so could be my fault, but parts shouldn’t be that easy to break or fall apart, especially on a product for an infant. In hindsight I should have researched to see if Konig products are legitimate. So I am reporting it here, so do I need to report the break/problem to Amazon customer service as well, I am wondering?
