The product, in the report: Under the Nile Organic Veggie Corn teether/toy 100% Egyptian cotton toy. Yellow and green in the shape of a corn with husk. Has eyes, mouth, nose.
I received the Under the Nile Organic Veggie Corn teether as part of an AGE APPROPRIATE monthly shipment from the company Citrus Lane for my 6 month old daughter.
At first, my daughter loved teething on the top part of the “husk;” however, after only a few times playing with the toy I heard her COUGHING and turned to find her spitting out a CHOKING SIZE PIECE of the yellow fabric. The teether had fallen apart at the top where it was poorly constructed. I was HORRIFIED when I saw what happened.
I recommend not selling this product to anyone else unless it is marked as an “over the age of 3” product where the children are not going to be teething, putting everything in their mouths, and creating a potential choking hazard. I am not sure how the other Veggies are constructed, but this one certainly appears to be cheaply made. THIS TOY SHOULD NOT BE MARKETED TO INFANTS. End of story.
