  1. Hurt, care not known

Made Mar 30, 2012, sent to the company Apr 20, 2012, published by CPSC May 4, 2012

The product, in the report: Pacifier

The consumer stated that her 5 month old daughter was using one of her pacifier for approximately 5 minutes before inserting the back loop of the pacifier in her mouth causing it to get stuck inside. The consumer was in the next room and she heard the baby crying and when she went to check on her the baby was choking on the loop.

The loop did not become loose; the round part of the pacifier prevented the loop from going further down her throat. She stood still, was having trouble breathing, and her face starter “turning blue.” The consumer stated that in her frustration when trying to help her daughter she pulled the loop out of her mouth using force. The baby was crying profusely and she held her until the baby calmed down. The consumer did not have to contact the emergency line for assistance. The consumer has not taken the baby to her doctor.

The consumer wants to express her concern that this is a shocking hazard. She feels that if she was not around to assist her it could have been a serious incident. CONSUMER ADDED: Walmart Item # 550377881, Product should have “choking hazard” on it!
