The product, in the report: I had the incident with a baby teether “the twisty figure 8 teether toy “ from munchkin

[REDACTED] is an American citizen and while visiting Beirut we purchased a twisty figure 8 teether toy munchkin from Mazen world . We gave it to her on the same day, ten minutes later we heard her crying we rushed to her and the toy was broken and little pieces of plastic sharp as glass were all over her mouth we took them off her and out of her mouth. She would have choked due to the incident in matter of seconds we took everything out otherwise the teether would have killed her. Please note she still doesn’t have any tooth. we have the receipt date and the picture of the broken toy was taken on the spot after the incident as well as we still have the broken teether.

The product, in the report: LATCH™ Pacifier and Designer Clip - Pink

This evening when my daughter was using her pacifier, the pink plate part of the “colorful designer clip” came apart from the pacifier. Luckily, I found the clip on the floor next to her because god knows what could have happened. My baby could have easily have put that in her mouth and choked! I was in utter shock and disbelief that this piece came apart from her pacifier. I am still in shock as I’m writing you this email because I can only imagine what could have happened to my little girl! My life could have been over in a mere second because Munchkin LATCH made such a faulty product that parents like myself purchased and trusted to give to our child. I have no idea how Munchkin LATCH can even make it up to me for what happened! In no way do I even want a replacement. I am about to tell anyone and everyone that I know not to buy your product and to discontinue using it if they have it. I would never want anyone’s baby to choke on this product! I suggest Munchkin LATCH discontinue selling this product and send out a recall! As of right now, I am fear to leave my daughter with any toys or pacifiers. I am a nervous wreck and Munchkin LATCH company is to blame!

6 month old baby was able to stick his thumb through one of the two small holes on the Munchkin Latch Infant Orthodontic (3 months+) pacifier (http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Lightweight-Infant-Orthodontic-Pacifier/dp/B00LCYTKOU/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1430359323&sr=1-2&keywords=munchkin+latch+pacifier).

The seal was tight enough that it cut off circulation to his thumb. Thankfully he became fussy and I noticed the problem and was able to pull his thumb out of the hole and restore circulation. This is a significant risk--especially since many babies sleep with pacifiers. If he had fallen asleep after sticking his thumb into the hole this would have caused a severe issue.

The product, in the report: Munchkin Teether Babies lion (Item #70001)

To whom it may concern, We received the Munchkin Teether Babies Lion (Item #70001) as a gift for our second child. He is now 10 months old and was playing with this toy on a hardwood floor. While playing with it I saw him swinging it with his hand and it hit the ground. I then heard something rolling across the floor. A closer look at the toy showed that the small globe ball at the end of the ring had broke off from the impact our 10 month old caused with the toy hitting the floor. I have attached pictures of the toy to the e-mall, Our obvious concerns are the small size of the globe ball not attached to the toy anymore and the sharp plastic edges on the ring and ball.

The product, in the report: Pacifier clip

I sent this email to the company describing the product faulty.

Hi, I bought 2 Munchkin Pacifier Clips today for my 4 months old after having used one with my first child and I found it to be the best pacifier clip around. I have seen many people selling on markets and eBay and other brands try to imitate Munchkin clip but I thought their the metal clip where the ribbon attaches to isn’t of a good quality which could pose choking hazard. I liked the fact that with Munchkin clip the inner white plastic parts which are attached to the metal clip are secured with metal bits so I don’t have to worry about them coming off and posing choking hazard. So I was shocked when I got home and had a closer look at the metal clips and I saw that the round plastic part which attaches to the metal clip has a split that will allow it to fully come off and pose a choking hazard just like other Pacifier clip that I have been intentionally avoiding to use! I am distressed with the thought of if I hadn’t seen it what might have happened.

And their response to this was that “all of our munchkin products do meet and exceed all federal safety requirements” “If you are not pleased with your purchase, please let me know so we can replace it with other items that is comparable in price.”

They are shockingly not concerned at all about the product faulty, the danger that it presents let alone improving the product quality.

The product, in the report: Munckin Pacifier Clip with metal clasp.

My son was wearing the Munchkin pacifier clip on the sleeve of his tank top for about three hours while we were shopping. The metal clasp on this clip rubbed on his arm and once we removed the clip we noticed it had made a friction burn on his arm. We believe this to be a very unsafe product since it can cause burning be it from friction or from heating up we aren’t totally sure. The metal clasp is unsafe touching his skin.
