  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 11, 2024, sent to the company Dec 16, 2024, published by CPSC Jan 2, 2025

The product, in the report: Stacking Teething Rings (7x stacking teething rings) made from 100% food grade silicone. Various textures, sizes, and hardness scales designed to soothe sore gums. Measures 3.94 x 3.94 x 5.4 inches. Recommended for ages 6 months+

My baby is 8 months and was playing with the bottom base of the teether stacking toy, using it as a teether and loving it. She started sucking on the middle part, straight on, as if she were sucking on a pacifier and the entire ring suctioned around her mouth and nose, suffocating her and tightening around her mouth/nose with every breath she was trying to take. My husband noticed very quickly that my daughter was scratching at her face to try and get the object off, her eyes were wide, and she looked like she was in a panic. My husband detached the base from my daughters mouth, removing the suction, which made a popping sound coming off. Upon removal, my daughter had a bright red ring mark around her mouth/nose, gasped for a large breath of air, and started scream crying once she was able to breathe properly again. This toy was suffocating her and if my husband wasnt quick to notice that something was off and take action, this could have ended so much worse. The toy is recommended for 6 months of age and older.
