  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 27, 2026, sent to the company Jan 29, 2026, published by CPSC Feb 24, 2026

The product, in the report: Mombella 3-in-1 Clownfish Soothing Pop Fidget Baby Sensory Teether Toy for Teething Relief Set Pacifier Infant Newborn Care

My infant daughter was using this teething toy as intended when she bit off the tip. The broken piece became lodged in her throat and she began choking. I had to administer back blows to dislodge the piece. This product broke apart under normal use and posed a serious choking hazard to a baby. The incident did not result in medical treatment, but it was very frightening and could easily have caused injury or death. My five month old son was using the Mombella Mimi Mushroom Pacifier. When the mushroom top is flipped upside down to make a cup, he was then able to stick the base deep into his mouth and seal off his airway. His face turned red and lips turned blue, but was fine because I noticed quickly. I gave it back to him to see if he would do it again to determine if this product was truly unsafe, and he did. I left a negative review on Amazon, but now the company is offering to pay me to remove my negative review as they say it is affecting sales and that they are looking into fixing the product.
