The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jan 28, 2016, sent to the company Feb 4, 2016, published by CPSC Feb 29, 2016

The product, in the report: MAM AIR PACIFIER 6 Months plus

We had an awful event with the MAM air pacifier. Our 15 mo old fell in the carpet and the MAM pacifier went inside of her mouth and blood streamed down for minutes. We stopped the bleeding and noticed a laceration on the roof of her mouth. They seem to be a safety hazard. This was beyond upsetting.

The product, in the report: MAM Air Pacifier

My son nearly choked to death on a MAM Air Pacifier. The button fell off the base of the pacifier and he swallowed it. I knocked it out of him before it was too late.

First, my good friend who has the mam air paifier had sent me a text image of her 8 month old little girls pacifier....broke in half...she ouldnt believe it! I just thought maybe she stepped on it or ran it over...and dismissed it! Just a couple days ago i was taking my son out of his carseat in the car to put him in my [REDACTED] carrier....i have the mam pacifier strap that you can pop onto the pacifier and hook to whatever....preventing it from falling! I grabbed the pacifier from his mouth, was just about to put it in the loop and it snapped....i barely put any pressure on it at all, it was the same spot my friends broke, i asked her how it haopened and her baby....8 months snapped theirs off herself....right in half....not only is this a choking hazard but also very sharp! I reported it to mam and they told me they would send me a new one??????NO way! These are very thin...even an older toddler could very easly snap these in half!
