  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 16, 2021, sent to the company Oct 20, 2021, published by CPSC Nov 3, 2021

The product, in the report: Liam & me co The teether is round, blue and white with wooden beads. The pacifier clip is wooden clips, two blue crochet beads, and two white marble beads.

A pacifier clip/teether, and a teething ring both broke. A wooden bead on the teether broke and I reached out, I was told if looked like a surface crack and I can still let my son use it, or if I was concerned to just stop using it. I cut myself on it, so it was not safe and stopped use immediately. Then a bead from a pacifier clip came off the string. Luckily there was a pacifier on the end, otherwise my 7 month old would have choked on it.

My 7 month old was using both products. He has been using them for a few months. We bought a bunch from her. They are used as a pacifier clip, but advertised to be used as teethers as well, so we let him chew on them. The teethers are advertised to be chewed on. I assumed she had them safety tested, because I know it’s illegal to sell these things for babies without testing, I had looked into making them and decided not to. I asked her today for testing paperwork and she ignored my message.

Luckily I was the only one with a cut on my finger when I went to see if the teether was a surface crack or not. I took that one away before my son got to it. The pacifier clip luckily had no injuries but if the pacifier was not attached my son would have choked on the bead.

I reached out to a company that does the testing and sent them the pictures and they advised me to report it here since she is not helping and I don’t want anyone else to have this issue.
