  1. No one hurt

Made Jul 7, 2026, sent to the company Jul 10, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 24, 2026

The product, in the report: It is a red and green, rubber cherry chewer by Itzy Ritzy.

On July 7th, my 9-month-old was using the Itzy Ritzy Comfort Chew Natural Rubber Baby Teether & Toy Cherries 4th of July version, purchased at Target. He bit off the entire green stem-and-leaf top section of the teether and swallowed it. The piece separated from the main body at the point where the stem meets the cherries. He did not choke, and he has been acting normally, but the detached piece was large enough to be a clear choking and ingestion hazard for a child in the products intended age range. I am monitoring him and have contacted his pediatrician. The natural rubber material tore at a thin, protruding feature under normal chewing by a teething infant. A teether is specifically designed to be bitten hard, so a component separating this way represents a significant safety concern. I am reporting it so the hazard is on record.

The product, in the report: Itzy Ritzy Baby Teether - Bunny. It is a silicone teether toy. It comes in several animal shapes. I had the pink bunny. It is 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches by .8 inches. UPC is 810434035949.

The “Itzy Ritzy baby teether - Bunny” is a silicone teething toy. It was being used for its intended purpose as a teething toy. The silicone shape for the bunny’s nose and mouth area started to break off of the toy. This area that broke off is a choking hazard. No injuries occurred, but a choking incident may have occurred if I did not observe this part of the toy breaking off.

The product, in the report: Itzy Ritzy Bitzy Crinkle Toy, pink bunny with crinkle body, knotted feet, tags, teething ring

My 6 month old was chewing on the leg parts, as advertised by the manufacturer, and was able to swallow and choke on the toy. I was sitting nearby playing with my other child and noticed that she was silent, turning blue and choking on the knotted leg part of the toy. Had I not been right there, she could have suffocated.

The product, in the report: Bitsy Biter Teething Ball and Training Toothbrush - pink lemonade UPC STB8414

I first attempted to speak with the company, but they just disregarded the concern and told me to throw my product away. That doesn’t solve the issue of the money parents are wasting purchasing the Bitsy Biter Teething Ball and Training Toothbrush just to pose a choking hazard to their child. My daughter and I were in the car driving around doing errands when I saw in the mirror that she had something large in her mouth. To my surprise when I pulled over to check it out the stem portion of the teether had become completely unattached and completely in her mouth. The product was being used as advertised just as a teething toy, but quickly became a choking hazard. Thankfully she was not injured or caused death, but if she had been using it and I wasn’t looking at her directly this could’ve been a much worse situation.

The product, in the report: Baby teething bracelet, to be worn as jewelry for women. The bracelet is a bunch of silicone beads on a piece of string.

My 9 month old was teething the Itzyritzy beaded bracelet, when the string broke apart and the beads came off. I had to pull a tiny bead out of my son’s mouth. This bracelet is dangerous and fortunately I was able to keep my son from choking. I contacted the company, Itzyritzy by phone, email, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and received no response from the them.
