  1. No one hurt

Made Sep 20, 2011, sent to the company Sep 28, 2011, published by CPSC Oct 20, 2011

The product, in the report: Baby pacifier- some what butterfly shaped with a white button with a care bear picture on it.

We received a Care Bear pacifier at our baby shower and I opened and gave it to my son today (he is 6 months old) as I was washing dishes I looked over at him and the white plastic button with the Care Bear picture was missing. I panicked and opened his mouth to look for it- He was okay.

I picked him up and he was sitting on it. I GOT LUCKY!! He could have choked!!!!! It is about the size of a quarter and about a half inch thick. I cannot believe these things are sold to babies. The piece just popped right off. He could have easily choked on this thing- babies put everything in their mouths. I consider myself lucky that he didn’t choke but someone else’s baby could. PLEASE TAKE THESE OFF THE SHELVES!!!!

I have a picture of the pacifier if you need it...

    Thank you. [REDACTED]
