  1. No one hurt

Made Apr 6, 2020, sent to the company Apr 20, 2020, published by CPSC May 4, 2020

The product, in the report: Pacifier clips. They have elastic to wrap around a pacifier or teething toy on one end, and a plastic clip to clip to their shirt on the other end.

These clips are supposed to be to hold pacifiers and teething toys. I put one of my 6 month old daughter’s teether toys on it, and clipped it to her shirt. Within a minute or two, just from general pulling on her teether, the clip pulled apart and the teether and strap went one way while the clip was still on her shirt. The clip is just snapped into place, and is not in 1 piece. Therefore, if a child pulls at all, it breaks into two. This leaves the long strap, and then the small clip, which is a major choking hazard. The only reason my daughter didn’t choke is because I saw it happen and immediately took it away.

Made Sep 26, 2018, sent to the company Jan 31, 2019, published by CPSC Feb 14, 2019

The product, in the report: Babygoal pacifier clips

The babygoal pacifier clip was attached to my 7 month old son and when I put him on his changing table I noticed that the clip part had become unattached from the rest of the product. I realized it is only attached by a plastic snap hook type attachment and comes off easily presenting as a choking hazard.
