The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 17, 2025, sent to the company Nov 21, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 8, 2025

The product, in the report: Cruiser City XL (4-seater wagon/stroller) Weight (with wheels) 36.7 lbs Weight (wheels removed) 28.7 lbs Dimensions (unfolded) 37 L 24 W 23 H Dimensions (folded with wheels) 37 L 24 W 14 H Maximum passengers 4 seats, up to 55 lbs per seat Cargo-only capacity 250 lbs (when not used for passengers) Warranty noted Best in class 2 Year Warranty (according to Veers specs) A four-seat vehicle carrying children demands high compliance with safety standards

Product: Veer Cruiser City XL (wagon-style stroller) Incident Date: 10/30/25 Purchase Date: 10/01/25 Children Involved: 2 Injuries: No physical injury, but one child was thrown sideways and struck the interior side panel.

Within approximately 30 minutes of first use, the left rear wheel of the Veer Cruiser City XL detached completely. The wagon immediately collapsed on one side, throwing one child sideways and spilling their drinks/snacks over them. This could have been a lot worse had he not been strapped in, or if the veer had the infant adapter / car seat attachment.

The incident occurred on a smooth, paved public walkway at a childrens event. There was no obstruction impact, no curb contact, no rough terrain, and no misuse.

My husband had to tilt and wheelie the wagon for 30 minutes back to our vehicle while we carried two crying babies.

    Physical Findings After the Incident

Upon examining the wheel assembly: The bearing housing was fractured. The wheel assembly would no longer click or lock into place after the incident. The component appears to have been missing three screws that would normally secure the bearing cap. Only one screw was present; the other locations showed no shearing, tearing, or deformation, suggesting the screws may never have been installed at the factory. The break in the bearing cap was a clean structural fracture, inconsistent with forced removal or improper installation.

We have multiple photos documenting all findings.

    Manufacturer Response

I contacted Veer immediately, provided photos, and described the incident. Their initial reply stated the wheel housing showed a manufacturing defect.

However, after I asked for a replacement of the wagon and to report the product to safety management for investigation, Veer reversed its position and stated the issue was due to improper installation by the user, despite: The wheel being fully clicked/locked prior to use The wagon being loaded into and out of an SUV before the failure which would not be possible if the wheel were not locked The wagon operating normally for 30 minutes before failing The missing screw holes showing no tearing or damage, which contradicts their claim

After I requested a replacement of the wagon, or an extended warranty support and expressed concern regarding a safety defect, Veer stopped responding, denied further support and blocked any future purchases from them which includes replacement parts.

The product is still under warranty.

    Reason for Reporting

A wheel detaching from a child transport product poses a significant risk of injury. Additionally, the combination of: A wheel separation, A fractured bearing housing, and Apparent missing critical fasteners

raises concern about a potential assembly or manufacturing defect that could affect other units.

I am submitting this report to ensure the CPSC is aware of the incident and that the manufacturers refusal to address the safety concern can be documented.

The product, in the report: veer switch & roll stroller

I have the veer 4 wheel stroller. The brake on it just broke for the 3rd time and I’m on my 3rd warrantied stroller (all brake related issues). The brake on all their strollers is defective however they keep selling them. They need to fix the problem before a child gets hurt.

The product, in the report: Black Veer Switchback &Roll with two switchback seats.

I was using the Veer Switchback &Roll stroller with the two seat option. Both of my daughters were in the stroller at the time. They are well below the weight limit of the stroller and each seat. My husband was pushing the stroller downhill while I was walking beside. All of a sudden, the stroller buckled and folded up sending my youngest daughter, who was in the lower seat, crashing to the ground. She slammed her head off of the pavement. Thankfully she didnt get a concussion from the impact. However, this stroller should have never collapsed while children were in it. Its an extremely dangerous product that needs a design review.
