The product, in the report: This is a Valco Snap Duo stroller Model N9939, order 7908. It is a grey double stroller.
I use a Valco Snap Duo stroller. During normal use on city sidewalks, the front right wheel failed at the attachment point where the wheel assembly is bolted to the frame. The mounting bolts tore through the metal frame, causing the wheel to rotate downward and lose contact with the ground. As a result, the stroller abruptly tipped forward, creating a serious risk of ejection and nearly throwing my children out of the stroller.

The product, in the report: Double baby stroller. Grey and black with leather on handle bar.
Hi, I was using the Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend Double stroller with a newborn and 1 year old inside. While I was pushing the stroller the front wheel snapped off and the stroller fell forward. It was very scary. Thankfully the children were properly restrained and neither got hurt. I contacted Valco baby, and they want me to purchase new wheels because it is out of the 1 year waranty. We used the stroller for about 2 years. I asked them if there is anything different or safer about the new wheels and they said no. I would not like to replace faulty wheels with faulty wheels. I searched online and noticed there was a recall on strollers produced that year with the same model number- N9939 for this reason. My order number was not included in the recall- Order [REDACTED].

The product, in the report: https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2022/Valco-Baby-Recalls-Snap-Duo-Trend-Strollers-Due-to-Fall-Hazard
Valco Baby Stroller. Both wheels and the part that attach to the wheels broke off at the same time! Our kids went face down toward the ground in fast, and thankfully they were buckled in, otherwise would have been very big safety issue.

The product, in the report: Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend Double Stroller Charcoal model # N9939 order # 7893 (this order number was not included as part of the February recall and I believe it should now be recalled)
The left front wheel of my Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend Double Stroller stroller broke without reason (didn’t hit a bump or anything, was on a smooth sidewalk). A few weeks ago the same thing had happened with the right wheel and they had sent a replacement for that wheel only. My kids’ nanny was using the stroller with two kids - 3 years and 15 months - to drop off the older child at camp and on the walk back home the wheel broke. Thankfully no injuries but she had to walk the stroller home about six blocks with three wheels and a 15 month old in it crossing streets so we are appalled and upset that this had happened (a second time!). Note that i am aware that there was a recall on this stroller in February but it did not include the order # of my stroller which is 7893 so I thought this was a non issue for the non-recalled strollers but, clearly, this is not the case and they should certainly expand the recall which is why I am reporting this. This second broken wheel was very dangerous situation.

No one hurt Made Aug 31, 2020, sent to the company Sep 25, 2020, published by CPSC Nov 10, 2020
The product, in the report: Valco baby snap duo trend in charcoal. Delivery 09/2019
I purchased the snap duo Valco Baby double stroller on 02/06/20 in Wellesley, Massachusetts. While walking slowly on the sidewalk the front wheel came off. The cap came off the pin that passes through the left front wheel. I only use the stroller in residential areas on sidewalks / paved roads so I was surprised when the wheel came off so easily. No one was injured as both kids were strapped in and I was walking slowly. I was also able to hold the stroller up and stop it from toppling so it just tilted forward. I do however see this fault as a pretty major safety issue if It toppled - which it could have, and children were to fall out of the stroller. [REDACTED]

No one hurt Made Sep 10, 2014, sent to the company Sep 18, 2014, published by CPSC Oct 2, 2014
The product, in the report: Valco Zee Two Joey Toddler Seat, attached to a Valco Zee Two stroller (2013 model),
My wife and I were walking with our 11 month old triplet children in a Valco Zee Two Stroller with Joey seat attachment. When crossing a street, the front wheel hit a large crack in the pavement and jolted the stroller. Upon being jolted, the Joey Seat became dislodged from the stroller and started falling forward to the ground, with our daughter in it. I was able to catch the seat before it hit the ground, otherwise our daughter would have fallen face-first into the pavement.
On one attachment point, the spring-loaded piece that holds the Joey Seat into place came apart, and we found the spring and plastic buckle on the ground. On the other side, the Joey Seat came loose from the main stroller frame with the spring-loaded piece intact.
We had verified the seat was locked into place before beginning our walk.

The product, in the report: It’s the standard model with the attached joey seat. model TRU8081 batch 7777
We were pushing the stroller in a mall, strolling slowly in front of a store we were going to enter, when suddenly the joey seat came off the front of the stroller. My 27 month old son, strapped into the seat, went toppling with the joey seat onto the concrete floor. He bit his lip, causing quite a bit of bleeding. He bruised his eye as well. Needless to say, he’s petrified of the stroller now.

The product, in the report: Valco Baby Zee Two Stroller with attached corresponding Valco Baby Zee Two Joey Toddler Seat A side-by-side double stroller with a toddler seat elevated above other seats and attached to the front of the stroller black/grey in color
I was using the Valco Baby Zee Two stroller, which is a double side-by-side stroller. I also had the Valco Baby Zee Two Joey Toddler seat attached to it, making it able accommodate three children. I had my three young children in the stroller and was walking in the mall. They had been in the stroller for about two hours.
All of a sudden the stroller locking mechanism failed, the stroller folded in on itself, collapsed, and slammed backwards to the ground. The lock, which keeps the stroller in an upright position, failed out of nowhere with no prompting. The lock is located near the bottom basket. When looking at a picture of the stroller, the seat back area slammed directly backwards to the ground, folding into the rear brake bar that holds the wheels, making the two frame bars flat against each other. My two children in the stroller seats were luckily fastened correctly because they were slammed backwards into the ground in the stroller. The child located in the front Joey Toddler Seat slammed backwards, crushing my other two children. The Joey Toddler seat came unconnected from the front of the stroller when the stroller failed, therefore forcing the seat to slam into the other children as they slammed backwards to the floor.
One of my then 19 month old twins was sitting in the stroller seat, and the other was in the Joey Toddler seat. My then 5 month old was also sitting in the stroller seat. His older brother in the Joey Toddler seat slammed backwards into him. Had he not been wearing his [REDACTED] helmet I believe he would have been seriously injured. All of my children could have been seriously injured the way the stroller slammed backwards into the ground with such force. We are extremely lucky that they were okay.
My children were brought directly to their pediatrician to check for possible injuries that I could not see (such as head/internal) as they do not talk yet and cannot explain how they are feeling. They all screamed/cried and were obviously upset during/after the incident. Luckily they just had some bruises and scratches, especially the two children who were additionally crushed by the Toddler Seat. On the “People & Injuries” section I am selecting “Injury, Seen by medical professional” because they did see the Dr, but luckily had no major injuries resulting from this incident.
Absolutely nothing prompted this. The stroller was being used appropriately, the basket area was not overloaded, and all of the children were well below the weight limits. Had the stroller not locked in place when I unfolded it initially to use it, the stroller never would have remained upright to begin with. But the stroller locked into place when it was first unfolded and worked for about two hours before it suddenly had the locking mechanism fail.
Directly following this incident, the stroller would not lock into place. Of course we never put our children into this stroller again. When examining it later on, sometimes it locked into place and sometimes it didn’t. But there is no way we would use it again because there is no telling when the lock may spontaneously fail again.
The stroller is model number ZET0311, Batch number 7826.

The product, in the report: Valco Runabout Tri-Mode Double Stroller. Model number TRU6293
The brakes do not work properly. Specifically, where the brake “bar” engages the brake cogs, it doesn’t always line up with the cogs. Because of the misalignment, the brake bar sometimes breaks off the brake cogs when it tries to engage. My wheels now have more than half of the brake cogs broken or bent. So far, I have had no runaway stroller, but I am highly concerned. Valco says I have to purchase new wheels if I want new cogs. I ordered new wheels 6 months ago, but they don’t have any and have put my order in as a backorder.

The product, in the report: Double stroller with toddler seat attached
We have a Tri-Mode EX Twin Stroller (http://shop.valcobaby.com/products/productdetail/Twin+Tri+Mode+EX/part_number=Twin%20Tri%20Mode/4360.0.1.1.19578.0.0.0.0?pp=8&) with toddler seat (http://shop.valcobaby.com/products/category/Toddler+Seats/4360.0.1.1.56.1022684.0.0.0) from Valco.
Our 14 months twins and 33 month old daughter were in the stroller. The twins were in the double stroller and our daughter was in the toddler seat.
The stroller was setup properly and all the kids were secured. We were at [REDACTED] and I was walking the stroller down a slight incline and all of a sudden the toddler seat completely fell out of attachment. Our daughter landed on her head/face and was bruised, scrapped, and swollen. We did not take her to the hospital as the swelling reduced and she did not have signs of a concussion.
