No one hurt Made Jul 29, 2026, sent to the company Aug 11, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 25, 2026
The product, in the report: This is an UPPAbaby Vista V2 stroller in a dark blue
This complaint involves an UPPAbaby Vista V2 stroller and specifically the two rear wheels on the stroller. During normal operation of applying and releasing the brakes, the plastic adjacent to “catch points” within each wheel can crack, such that applying the brake allows the stroller to move several inches forward and backward until the next catch point is touched. To try to illustrate this a bit better, when you apply the locking break, a pin on the stroller is inserted into a hole in the rim of the wheel, and the plastic surrounding that hole prevents the tire from moving forward and backward. When these plastic pieces break during normal operation, there is no longer a hole roughly the size of the pin, but now multiple consecutive holes that are much larger then the pin. Thus, when the pin is inserted into the “hole,” the stroller continues to move forward and backward until the pin hits the next non-broken piece. I contacted UPPAbaby and they refused to send a replacement part for this because it was not under warranty, but agreed that no further use of the dangerous product should continue.

while my son was securely strapped into the stroller, the seams supporting the upper part of the seat failed on both sides. The stroller did not tip over, and my son was not standing or unbuckled. Despite proper use, the seat collapsed underneath him and he fell backward, still strapped in, and hit his head on the floor.

No one hurt Made Jul 31, 2024, sent to the company Aug 5, 2024, published by CPSC Aug 19, 2024
The product, in the report: The Uppababy Minu V2 Stroller, the Uppababy Adapter for Minu V2/Mesa Car Seat, and the Uppababy Mesa Car Seat
I am reporting the Uppababy Minu v2 stroller and the Uppababy conversion kit to use the Mesa car seat. Here are full details of what occurred.
My son, [REDACTED], is almost 3 months old. Last week I purchased the Uppababy Minu V2 and ordered the Uppababy adapter clips to be able to use our Mesa car seat with the stroller while in NJ. I bought all of these items new (from the Uppababy store on Amazon), and I used the Minu with adapter for the first time on Thursday, July 25. That morning my husband and I followed the instructions to attach the adapter clips to the stroller and placed our son in his Mesa car seat while we navigated the airport with no issues.
On Friday, July 26 my mom and I decided to take my son for a walk around our neighborhood in his car seat/the Minu stroller. As we were walking down a hill about 5-10 minutes into our walk, my mom and I heard a snap and the entire car seat (with clips/adapters attached to the car seat) unclipped from the stroller base and the car seat flew off the stroller, flipped backward, and landed upside down on the pavement with my baby in it.
My mom was screaming, but I just went into mom mode to save my baby. I flipped the car seat back over, handed her the phone and calmly said, call 911 and unstrapped my baby, who was screaming, but will still secure in the car . I picked him up, he screamed for a minute, then calmed down. He seemed ok and fell asleep in my arms. The police and ambulance arrived to assess the situation and determined they did not need to transport my son to the Emergency Room, but we observed him at home for the rest of the day and evening to ensure he didnt have a head or neck injury from the fall.
We have no idea what happened with the car seat adapter. Everything was attached properly. However, when I looked at the clips attached to the stroller base there is a visible gap. Perhaps the force of walking down hill with a baby in the car seat was enough to cause the adapters to fail, but that clearly should not be the case.
I have contacted Uppababy about this issue and they are replacing the stroller, conversion kit and car seat and have asked for the originals back so their QC department can run their own tests.

No one hurt Made Mar 11, 2023, sent to the company Mar 20, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 4, 2023
The product, in the report: UppaBaby Vista Stroller Blue Model Number: 9918-VIS-FRM-NA [REDACTED]
On Saturday, March 11th, 2023 my 14 month old and I were in our kitchen. Our UppaBaby Vista Stroller was unfolded sitting by our front door.
My child was crawling around and I suddenly heard her scream. I quickly went over to her and immediately was alarmed.
Her head and neck were stuck in between the base of the strollers foot rest and the bar that holds the basket.
I tried to get her out, but I was unsuccessful.
Knowing that her airway could quickly become compromised if she were to slip, I dialed 911.
The fire department arrived and also attempted to free my child by pulling her up through the space. They were also unsuccessful.
The fire department had to cut the bar that holds the basket to free my child’s head and neck from being stuck.
I am incredibly upset and very fearful of what happened. If I had been in the restroom or changing the laundry, the outcome would have been devastating.
Today, my child nearly died because of the UppaBaby Vista stroller.
I’m requesting an immediate safety recall of this product.
1. My child got her head and neck stuck in the UppaBaby Vista stroller.
2. UppaBaby Vista Stroller
3. The product was not in use. The product was being stored unfolded in our home.
4. The product was not in use. The product was being stored unfolded in our home.
5. My child could have died. My child’s airway was compromised because her head and neck were stuck.
6. Her head and neck were stuck, which could have resulted in death if I hadn’t been immediately present and the fire department hadn’t cut the bar to free her.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jul 8, 2022, sent to the company Jul 13, 2022, published by CPSC Jul 27, 2022
The product, in the report: Uppa Baby Vista 2 baby stroller
I own an UppaBaby Vista2 stroller purchased April 2022.
My husband was removing it from our vehicle when his finger was crushed between two metal bars that make up the stroller frame. This caused a finger fracture (broken bone). It caused a lot of pain and suffering, required my husband to spend out of pocket money on doctors visits and lose out on work time.
The only warning Uppa Baby states is to keep clear of moving parts of stroller, but the area where his finger was crushed had no moving sections (no hinges etc). There were no specific instructions from Uppa Baby on how to safely open the stroller - we followed all visual instructions provided in instruction manual.
They refuse to do anything regarding this.
This is a huge safety issue for both adults and babies. I’m concerned much worse will occur if you don’t force this company to make their product safer .. children can lose extremities. Bones can be broken to the point of causing permanent deformity where people can miss out on job and life opportunities. I hope this stroller is taken off the market until this company fixes these very obvious concerns. I’m attaching photos of the area where his finger was crushed, a photo of his broken finger X-ray and a picture of how to pick up stroller as advised in Uppa Baby manual which my husband did and STILL sustained this injury.

No one hurt Made May 26, 2022, sent to the company Jun 2, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 17, 2022
The product, in the report: Uppababy Vista v2 in Finn. Purchased in 2020. Used as a double stroller. Toddler seat is on top and Rumbleseat is on the bottom. It is a stroller for children.
I am using an uppababy vista v2 stroller. I am using it as a double stroller. I have had it for less than two years and during that time have had no major issues. One day I was taking a walk with my kids and the stroller collapsed. The top seat fell onto the bottom seat which could have seriously injured my daughter. I noticed quickly the cause of the issue which is that the stroller is broken at the bottom. I contacted the company they did not offer to do a refund and have not at this time offered to replace the product. Moreover, I have concerns about the overall safety of the product with two seats given what they have listed as the weight and height capacity. I believe that either the second seat, the rumble seat, needs to be recalled or the height and weight capacity needs to be changed. It can cause a risk of suffocation or serious injury if the stroller is to suddenly collapse and the top seat gives out. I made the company aware of this and they did not seem to care.

First aid Made May 15, 2022, sent to the company May 18, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 2, 2022
The product, in the report: Uppababy Vista Stroller with Rumbleseat
Today we took my toddler and infant to the zoo and used our Uppababy Vista stroller with Rumbleseat and Mesa. We have the new yellow adapters that were not recalled in 2021. We used the stroller throughout most of our visit without issues which would lead us to believe there was no problem with how the Rumbleseat was attached. However, my son’s seat detached while we were walking on flat pavement and the seat was propelled forward with him face down on pavement, trapped and screaming. This resulted in multiple bruises, bloody nose, scrapes and a swollen area on his forehead.
We have been customers of Uppababy since 2018 as we prepared for the arrival of our first child. We are appalled that a company we trust to keep our children safe would malfunction in such a way. I personally installed the adapters and ensured that they were installed correctly. After my son’s fall we could see that both adapters had opened.

The product, in the report: UPPA Baby Vista Stroller and Rumble Seat with Lower Adapters https://uppababy.com/product/replacement-rumbleseat-adapters-2015-2020/
I was using the UPPABaby Vista Stroller with the Lower Adapters (newer model as the prior versions were recalled). I had my son front facing and as I went to pull my stroller back up into my driveaway, the entire seat and adapters went flying off. As a result, my son fell face first into the street and has sustained an injury to his lip and I am monitering him for a concussion. It seems as though the adapters become detached, which I understand was an issue with the prior model.

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 20, 2022, sent to the company May 10, 2022, published by CPSC May 24, 2022
The product, in the report: UPPABaby Vista V2 stroller - in color Jordan. Width - 25.7”. Age range - 3 months to 50 lbs.
Our 18 month old daughter slipped through between the bars feet first and got stuck in her Uppa Baby Vista V2 stroller from around the neck. There was no way to pull her out because there is no give in the bars and it was too tight, which is why she has bruises and scrapes on her back from falling through. We had to call 911 and the fire department came. They could not get her out until cutting the metal bar. The gap between the foot rest and bar is a safety hazard.

The product, in the report: UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller. Model Vista V2
My 5-month-old daughter was strapped into our brand new UPPAbaby Vista Stroller. My wife clicked the brake on at the top of our driveway (only a slight decline). She briefly walked a few steps away. The brake clicked off and the stroller rolled down the driveway and into the street. Thankfully, our 2-year-old son shouted at us and I was able to run and catch the stroller just as it began flipping, preventing any known injuries.

The product, in the report: Rumble Seat adapters on UPPAbaby Vista stroller.
My husband was pushing my Two year old daughter in the UPPAbaby Vista stroller. She was sitting in and strapped into the Rumble Seat (model number 0101, manufacture date Aug. 2014). The stroller hit a bump in the sidewalk and the Rumble Seat adapters detached from the stroller, ejecting the seat holding my daughter. She landed face first onto the sidewalk. Her forehead split open in two places and we had to take her to the emergency room where she got ten stitches. She also got surface scrapes on both wrists, one knee, and one toe. Five weeks later (today) she has large scars on her forehead where the stitches were.

The product, in the report: Uppababy Vista stroller - double stroller using upper attachments. Black. SERIAL # VIS0616010144402
I sent this to Uppababy customer service on 10-24-20 // I am writing today to report a major stroller accident that occurred because the Uppababy Vista broke while my child was strapped into the Toddler seat. I am still shaken up and extremely upset that after investing in such an expensive product, which we did because it would bring us the peace of mind knowing our kids would be safe, broke on us and injured my son.
Friday evening, my husband had just loaded my 21 month old into the top toddler seat. He started to roll the stroller backward, preparing to turn the stroller and position it to leave our front entry. As he pulled the stroller back, the Toddler seat snapped and my son and the seat fell sideways into the basket and then “bounced” out and landed on the concrete. He got a swollen lip and was bleeding in his mouth. He now has a small chip on his front tooth too.
We were moving the stroller back. The front rumble seat wasn’t attached and therefore my petite 3 year old wasn’t in the front location. My son who fell is 30 lbs, meaning he is 20lbs under the weight limit for the Toddler Seat! No stairs were involved.
How could this happen? Do you have known structural integrity issues with the Jake model?
I’m not sure how you will find us on record, but here is some information: We have an Uppababy Vista (Jake) purchased at Nordstrom. We have also purchased all of the adapters, the [REDACTED] carseat, extra carseat base, inserts for seats, and [REDACTED]. I attend the annual official Uppababy Tune-Ups. In the past, I have reported that my wheels were shaking as I walk. They cleaned them, and we continue to clean them at home. But the shaking still occurs and makes the ride/push challenging to walk straight. Should this have been a sign that our particular unit has integrity issues? I assume your Tune Up staff report everything that I have said was an issue, so this should be on file from two separate Tune Up events.
We store our Vista in the garage where it doesn’t have direct access to weather and we live in San Diego which is a very mild climate even while the stroller is in use. Again, how can this seat piece just snap off?
I am not comfortable using our stroller again, nor do I think it’s even possible based on how the seat broke off. I would like to speak to someone to resolve this immediately because I travel with my kids on a road trip in two weeks.
Thank, [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: UPPAbaby 2017 CRUZ Stroller - Pascal (Grey/Carbon)
Without warning, WHILE MY SON WAS IN THE STROLLER, the metal frame of an Uppababy CRUZ stroller at a little over 2 years old, just snapped. THE WELD of the joint frame FAILED. It destabilized the entire stroller and caused me to stumble and the stroller to roll towards the road/down a curb. Fortunately I managed to keep my son upright and unharmed. Initially I thought this was just a defective stroller but have since found there are MULTIPLE instances of the EXACT SAME WELD BREAK, therefore making it a known issue (which Uppababy deny - however, considering that the majority of online complaints expressly state that they contacted Uppababy how could Uppababy not know of this issue?). Quite frankly, Uppababy’s multiple responses have tried to displace blame (i.e. what was going on? You must have used extra force. This wouldn’t have occurred without extra force. Did your older child stand on the bar? etc etc). I sent multiple photos, including the bar itself which doesn’t have a single dent or bend in it - precisely because there was NO extra force to the bar which caused this weld to break. What caused the weld to break was either poor design/a mistake in the welding process (overheating) or metal fatigue. This weld failed due to a manufacturing defect. Even though it is is 3 months over its two year warranty, the company have offered a replacement frame as a ‘courtesy.’ I don’t want a replacement frame as a ‘courtesy.’ This is a serious defect which has happened to numerous other people. I am not going to put my child in danger due to poorly manufactured materials from a company who won’t take responsibility for the defect seriously. I am very concerned this poses a risk for others. The company needs to examine is manufacturing process (over welding can make metal brittle) or it’s design (adding an enforced bracket instead of a weak weld that doesn’t withstand normal use.) Considering the seriousness of the defect and the fact that it has happened to multiple other people, I think it is understandable that I don’t want to risk putting my child in a replacement model. My child is my priority. The company should be examining this issue rather than trying to displace blame. They have a legal and moral responsibility to do so. The company should allow a monetary refund for the price paid - legally, due to the implied warranty of merchantability, and also morally, because they should have more empathy and understanding as to why I wouldn’t want to put my child in a replacement stroller when the first one failed so catastrophically (not to mention the numerous other reported instances of the same dangerous defect). This product poses a risk and should be investigated.

The product, in the report: This is the UPPAbaby Minu stroller. https://uppababy.com/minu/overview/
I was pushing my child in his Uppababy Minu stroller on a leaf covered sidewalk when the front tires of the stroller hit an elevated seam in the sidewalk. The stroller came to an immediate stop and the top of the seat rapidly moved forward approximately 12-14” slamming my child against the harness. In viewing this, a child not securely fastened could have been ejected from the seat. In addition, the sudden movement forward and back could cause soft tissue damage in the neck and back.
Understanding that safety harnesses are important, many parents do not treat the harness as diligently as they would a car seat. It’s also possible that children can make harnesses less effective by moving in the seat or playing with the harness/buckles.

The product, in the report: Uppababy Vista stroller chair, 2012-2014 model
Hi - I own a 2011 Vista stroller. In 2018, I was expecting my second child and wanted to replace the fabric. UppaBaby said they no longer manufactured fabric for the 2011 Vista and offered to upgrade the baby seat entirely for $150 (new chair and new fabric). They told me they would send a chair from their 2012-2014 Vista line. They sent me the chair, it looked great and worked on my 2011 stroller frame. Fast-forward to 2019, I now have a 10-month old who is teething and he has been biting the foam fabric off the bumper bar and it comes away in big chunks. I did a google search and saw there was a recall of the Uppababy Vista 2015 model for this exact reason. It’s shocking to me that Uppababy in 2018 is still sending consumers this dangerous product! There should be a recall on the 2012-2014 models as well. These strollers retail for around $1k and are used for many years. It’s surprising to me that the recall only applied to one model and not all the models with the dangerous bumper bar.

The product, in the report: https://uppababy.com/vista/overview/ 2015 Uppababy Vista Taylor in Navy.
The BRAKE on my Uppababy 2015 Vista pram purchased from new in ~ April of 2018 from the Baby & Toddler Show in [REDACTED] is no longer functional after ~8 months of use (age of my first child). It stopped working on March 2. This poses an obvious risk when crossing roads (I usually engage the brake while waiting at sloped crossings), in parking lots when getting the baby in and out of the car, and while riding accessible transportation such as trams. I would call my usage ‘normal’ for a [REDACTED] mum and haven’t damaged the product through force or abusive handling. I think other parents should be aware of this issue because the reps were selling off discontinued 2015 product range at a very discounted price at the show - they should not be allowed to sell defective product ranges with possible known safety issues at trade shows. Other users have had similar experiences with my exact pram: [REDACTED]. I have not provided photos but am happy to do so. Uppababy is an American brand and I am American although I have purchased the product in [REDACTED] where I currently reside.

The product, in the report: Uppa Baby Vista 2017 with Rumble Seat and Adapters
Bought my Uppa Baby Vista in Oct 2017. I had my two boys in the stroller, my youngest 9 months facing out and my older one 2.5 year facing in. All of a sudden the entire bottom rubble seat dislodged from the stroller with the adapters and my poor baby fell flat face on the concrete strapped into the seat. His nose and forehead were bruised, fortunately nothing worse. After some research I saw that this part of the stroller was recalled in Canada but not in the USA, I’m not sure why this would be the case. http://healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall-alert-rappel-avis/hc-sc/2017/64648r-eng.php
I would estimate through regular use the latches may have unhinged which is completely unacceptable. The design of the rumble seat adapters should be made with better safety in mind.

My husband and I purchased the “Uppababy 2015 Vista” in February 2016. We have used this stroller many times a week since. Sometimes daily.
Well today, while leaving a doctors appointment, the bracket that holds the seat on broke. Sending my daughter crashing backwards and head first to the ground, causing her to do a full flip while still attached to the seat and landing her on her arms and body with the seat on her back like a turtle shell.
This product has been well used but for the price and the fact that my child isn’t even close to the weight limits and had it been my newborn we would have had to call an ambulance.
I will be pursuing a full refund for the product and all the purchased attachments, because this product obviously isn’t safe for any child.

Using the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller configured as follows: Mesa Car seat attached to the top, Rumble Seat facing forward on bottom with the Adapters on both sides, my infant granddaughter was placed and secured in the Car Seat, and my toddler granddaughter was placed and secured (strapped in) in the Rumble Seat. While walking in the shopping mall with the Stroller, the left Adapter suddenly snapped off of the base of the Stroller and the right Adapter disengaged from the Rumble Seat causing the whole Rumble Seat to fall off of the Stroller with my toddler strapped inside and falling with her face smacking directly into the floor.
As a result of the failure of the Adapters to hold the Rumble Seat and the Rumble Seat falling off the Stroller, my granddaughter suffered injuries and bleeding and was taken immediately to the hospital emergency room where she was treated and diagnosed with mouth injury and facial bruising. In addition, the mouth injury included the loosening of one of her front teeth, for which a follow-up dentist visit was needed.

The product, in the report: Stroller
On more than one occasion over the past year the stroller has gotten stuck in a locked position where it can not be dissembled or folded to fit in the car forcing me to have to call a family member with a truck come pick up the stroller so I wouldn’t be forced to abandon it. That was a minor concern and inconvenience, since we now have a larger suv we no longer have to go out of our way but the stroller more often than not, locks and won’t let us do anything to it so we are forced to put it in our car unfolded. The big issue came into play while we were at Disney this weekend. Instead of locking the stroller collapsed to the floor with my 18 month old still inside smacking the back of her head on concrete (thankfully the padding of the stroller mitigated any damage to her body). This to me a s parent is terrifying. Something is definitely faulty with the stroller and I never had issue’s like this with my son’s bugaboo. Please let me know what you need from me (receipt, serial number etc) so that you can help me get this issue resolved. I’ve looked over buy buy baby’s store return policy and I can likely return this stroller to the store but I would probably be in for a fight in doing so. I’m hoping to mitigate that by receiving a replacement of the identical model. I hope you can assist me so this matter doesn’t need to be escalated as I am doing my very best to remain calm since my daughter could have been very seriously injured.

While walking my infant and toddler with the uppababy vista stroller system 2012 model, using the piggyback and bassinet accessories, the stroller tipped backwards causing my toddler to hit his head busting his teeth on the handle bar and nearly ejected my newborn from the bassinet. Had it not been cold and blankets and bassinet cover been used my infant would have been ejected and potentially seriously injured or worse. This system was being used as intended. My concern with this product is an issue of design and weight distribution. The way this product is made the toddler is to hold on to the handle bar while riding on the skateboard like attachment. The problem is no additional weight can be added to he handle bar or the stroller will tip, which is an inherently bad design as that is where a toddler ( most who shift there weight around quite frequently) is supposed to hang on so they do not fall. There is no warning about applying no weight to the stroller or the potential danger of using these two accessories together as liklihood of the toddler tipping it is high and there is no way to secure an infant in the bassinet.

He was not hurt, but could have been if we weren’t able to get him out quickly enough. The company said that because the two year warrantee is over, I would have to purchase a new frame. I posted about this on social media, and MANY people came forward to tell me that this happened to their stroller as well.

The product, in the report: UPPAbaby Vista Stroller (2009) with RumbleSeat
This stroller has an aluminum frame with a rear crossbar (running through the storage basket) that is welded on the left and right side. The stroller is also equipped to add a toddler RumbleSeat to the front end of the stroller (designed and sold by the same company for this stroller). When the RumbleSeat is properly installed, the weight of the seat causes an increased torque on the crossbars welded joints when the stroller is turned to either side. While walking down the street on a smooth sidewalk with an 8 month baby in the stroller and a 2 year old toddler in the Rumble Seat, the welded joint completely broke apart. We were fortunate in that the children were safe and this joint was the only one that failed. The joint on the other end of this same crossbar is half detached. Had it failed at the same time the stroller would have collapsed.
I do not believe that this joint failed due to fatigue (the stroller is a 2009 model). I suspect that the welded joints were never strengthened when the company conceived of and marketed the RumbleSeat.

The product, in the report: Uppababy Vista Stroller 2001 (Jake = Black)
On 09/19/12 I went to the the zoo with my son and fiance. My son was on the stroller strapped, when all of a sudden the stroller collapses. I have never seen a stroller do that in my life and I fortunately quickly reacted and caught my son with the seat. The stroller is an Uppa Baby Vista. I contacted Uppa baby and they sent me a new frame since my stroller was still under warranty. They said they had never had any problems like this with any of their strollers. They asked me to send them a picture, but of course I didn’t have time to take pictures as I quickly held my son with the seat and my fiance picked up the stroller and put it back in place. It snapped right back in. The stroller has a seat that detaches and reclines. At the time it happened the seat was in it’s upright position so when the stroller collapse I grabbed the seat and that made the fall much smoother that my son didn’t feel a thing.
The reason I am just reporting this now is because I just found your website. I just want to make sure that they looked at the frame I sent them because if other strollers were to do the same thing an infant or toddler could get seriuosly hurt.

The product, in the report: Uppa Baby Vista adapter for Maxi Cosi car seat
We have Car Seat Adapters, made by Uppa Baby, for the Maxi Cosi car seat. After a friends son fell as the car seat was dislodged with little force from the Uppa Baby stroller base, we checked out adapters and they were also faulty. With very little force, we were able to dislodge the Maxi Cosi care seat from the Uppa Baby stroller base, causing the car seat to go rolling backwards. This would clearly have horrible consequences if the child was in the seat when it happened. The store where we purchased the adapters, Babesta in New York, NY, was also able to replicate this dislodging of the car seat in the adapters in their store. This product is not safe for children and needs to be recalled!

The product, in the report: Car Seat Adapter for Vista Uppa Baby Stroller
Callers were leaving store on October 18th, 2012 with baby in stroller pushed by victim’s Grandmother, She was pushing stroller down the first of two steps coming from store when the car seat adapter came out of stroller and baby fell out of stroller, down the second step and onto the concrete.
Father/caller states that baby was unconscious and unresponsive for a short period of time that felt like a very long period of time which makes it difficult to measure.
Ambulance was called, baby was checked by EMT’s and taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center Emergency where he remained until 10/19/2012 AM.
[REDACTED] ordered CT Scans, checked baby’s reflexes, provided parents with instructions to watch for changes in behavior, lethargy etc.
Baby is normal colicky but since accident baby has been sleeping more, is quiet and less responsive.
Callers are asking that this car seat adapter be investigated, inspected and recalled before a child is more seriously injured or worse.

The product, in the report: Stroller
The consumer says that the mechanism that keeps the stroller open is not functioning. She says the stroller forces to close with the child still in it and pushes against the child. The child was not injured. She says the manufacture is aware of this situation and are calling it a voluntary retrieval and have a message on their website about the issue calling it “important information”. The manufacturer offers a replacement stroller to consumers who mail them pictures of the defective strollers. The consumer contacted the retailer who is not aware of the situation. The consumer’s stroller is no longer functional. She told the manufacturer to make the issue aware to CPSC and they said they did not have to.

The product, in the report: UPPAbaby Vista RumbleSeat / stroller
I have the UPPAbaby Vista stroller and this week was at the zoo with my 7 week old and 22 month old. My 22 month old was in the RumbleSeat attachment fully restrained in the seat’s harness. I was pushing the stroller up a hill when I felt some resistance. Since this stroller is hard to push in general with two kids in it, I just assumed I was stuck on a rock or ledge and pushed harder. That’s when my toddler screamed! He had gotten his finger stuck in the wheel! Luckily he only received a minor laceration, but all I could think of is how much worse this incident could have been and why is this stroller designed so that a child can reach the wheels? Immediately I contacted UPPAbaby’s customer service, but they avoided addressing the issue.

The product, in the report: G-Lite stroller, 2011 model, Color: Jake/Black
The right rear latch slides under the plastic piece below it allowing the stroller to collapse while in movement with child secured in place. This has occurred 3x in the less than 1 week I have owned this stroller. I have found multiple reviews listed online where the same problem has occured with other people with this model of stroller. Regardless of how many times you press down the foot pedal to click and lock open the stroller in place, the latch fails to catch in place and creates an imminent danger of collapsing with the child during movement.
