Emergency room Made Nov 26, 2013, sent to the company Dec 5, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 27, 2013
The product, in the report: UPPA baby VISTA stroller Model Uppa baby VISTA model #0056 Serial #06102010
We were opening up our stroller and my son’s finger tip was locked in the side of the stroller where the two side pieces snap together. The stroller was fully engaged on his finger tip and it was very hard to disengage the stoller. When we did get the stroller folded, his finger nail was gone, and his finger tip was cut off, almost completely and bleeding profusely. After several hours in the Emergency room, his finger received 3 sutures and the xray revealed that the tip of his bone was shaved off. He received intraveneous antibiotics, and the risk of infection was severe as well as the risk that his fingertip might not “take” with the soutures and have full sensation. We don’t know yet if he will get his fingernail back.

Hurt, no treatment Made Jun 24, 2011, published by CPSC Aug 2, 2011
The product, in the report: Uppa Stroller Snack Tray
The consumer stated that her child’s snack stroller tray was a hazardous product as her 9 month old baby got his finger trapped in it. The consumer’s child had removed the tray on his own with his foot 3-4 times before he trapped his finger in the snack tray. The child’s finger is now bruised purple but there are no lacerations. The consumer’s baby was in the stroller for 5-10 minutes before the incident occurred.
The consumer called the manufacturer today and the manufacturer offered to send her a prepaid label to send the product back to the firm and nothing else. The consumer has yet to call the store where the product was purchased. The consumer feels the product should be recalled. The product was not damaged or modified before the incident happened. The consumer’s child didn’t see a doctor after the incident. The incident happned at a local mall.
