Hello, We have had our Thule Urban Glide double stroller for just over one year and noticed that the seams on the hoods have started ripping, exposing the plastic wiring in easy reach of our two young daughters who love to tug at them. This seems like a quality issue as well as a danger since the sharp wires could jab at the kids’ arms and even their eyes/faces if they lean up. Wondering if there is anything that can be done about this. Overall we have been very happy with this stroller but disappointed in this seemingly simple quality oversight. Photos are attached.

We would like to make sure the replacement order is shipped to the correct location. An address is on file but can you please validate that it is your current mailing address so we can ensure you receive your order? Thule is unable to send parts or products to PO Boxes, so a physical address is the best option to ensure delivery. [REDACTED] Thule America Customer Service Rep.

Hi [REDACTED], We received the part you sent but are sad to report that the replacement item is not what we need to fix our issue. As the attached images detail, the shade roof hinge that we have (same part that you sent) works just fine and does not need replacing. The issue with our stroller is the support rod/rib which supports the last section of the fold-up roof -- the rod is too long for the sleeve it sits in, and as a result of this tension it has ripped through the hood seams. Obviously having sharp, hard wires exposed near kids’ faces is a serious safety issue.

We have waited two months for Thule to help us with this crucial safety flaw in your product and I have begun contacting a number of child and consumer safety groups to help raise the alarm about this dangerous defect.

Please feel free to call me to discuss further. [REDACTED]
