No one hurt Made Apr 15, 2025, sent to the company Apr 22, 2025, published by CPSC May 6, 2025
The product, in the report: Baby Jogger city mini GT2 Eco stroller https://www.babyjogger.com/strollers/shop-all-strollers/all-terrain/city-mini-gt2/city-mini-gt2-eco-stroller/SAP_2203449.html Color: Slate Fog Model#: 2203449 Product Width: 25.6 in Product Height: 43.1 in Product Depth: 41.3 in
I am writing to formally report a safety concern regarding the Baby Jogger Stroller (https://www.babyjogger.com/strollers/shop-all-strollers/all-terrain/city-mini-gt2/city-mini-gt2-eco-stroller/SAP_2203449.html). The issue pertains to the belly bar accessory that detaches when my toddler kicks it. Despite the manufacturer’s response that this is an unavoidable consequence of a child kicking the bar, I find this response unacceptable for a product of this price point. They have now stopped replying to me so that’s why I am seeking help from here.
The belly bar is designed for use with toddlers, and it is reasonable to expect it to withstand normal interactions, such as a toddler kicking it lightly. A safety concern arises when a standard, everyday action leads to a potentially hazardous situation due to the product’s failure.
Given the high cost of this stroller and the expectation of quality and safety, I believe that this issue warrants further investigation to ensure consumer safety and product reliability. I kindly request that this issue be reviewed by your team.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Emergency room Made Nov 17, 2015, sent to the company Nov 25, 2015, published by CPSC Dec 10, 2015
The product, in the report: Baby Jogger Company, City Mini Single Stroller
Two year old child was strapped into stroller with lap belt securely fastened. Adult took their hand off the stroller push bar and was standing directly adjacent to the child. It is unknown exactly what happened, but the child was thrown face first onto tile floor. The stroller either folded up or folded out and/or fell over. Clearly there was a mechanism that failed within the stroller. The child had severe dental and facial trauma from the incident. Due to the nature of the child’s injuries that were immediately apparent, the adult grabbed the child and ran with the child to seek professional medical attention. The adult did not stop to look and see exactly how the stroller was positioned after the child was thrown from it.

No one hurt Made Jun 21, 2013, sent to the company Jul 1, 2013, published by CPSC Jul 16, 2013
The product, in the report: Baby Jogger City Select Car seat adaptors (2)
We were using the Baby Jogger City Select Stroller for our twin girls. While our kids were in the car seats ([REDACTED]) using the correct City Select car seat adapter, the adapters broke in half. Both snapped in the same location, the red plastic part of the adapters. Top baby fell with car seat into the basket below and the bottom baby fell on the ground! Absolutely unacceptable! It was like a terrible nightmare, thankfully the girls were strapped in and did not get injured, only startled.
