The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 5, 2026, sent to the company Oct 8, 2026, published by CPSC Oct 23, 2026

The product, in the report: Stokke YOYO 3 compact folding baby stroller, with frame, seat and four wheels. The left rear wheel is the part that came off.

The left rear wheel of my Stokke YOYO 3 stroller began making unusual noises and became unstable, then detached completely while the stroller was in use with my 21-month-old son seated in it. No one was injured. The stroller was 22 months old and used normally. I reported it to Stokke, [REDACTED]. Stokke declined to repair or replace it, calling it wear and tear, and said the correct YOYO 3 replacement wheel parts were out of stock until about January 2027. I had the stroller repaired at my own expense by an independent technician on October 2, 2026. He had to cut seized bearing races off both rear wheel axles, and he also found rust-damaged bearings on the front wheels.

The product, in the report: Single stroller / navy blue

While walking with my Stokke Scoot stroller, anytime I would encounter a small crack or other similar imperfection in the sidewalk, my stroller would stop and immediately and forcefully, tip forward almost pulling me down on top of it. This is occurring on a perfectly maintained sidewalk.

Made Jun 8, 2015, sent to the company Aug 11, 2015, published by CPSC Aug 25, 2015

The product, in the report: Black Melange colored stroller

This has happened several times. Any time the stroller meets a small crack while walking, the front wheels catch on it and stop abruptly. The stroller tips forward violently and the person pushing it falls forward also. The initial impact is very violent to both the baby and adult pushing, and then it’s also dangerous if the stroller were to tip over completely and the person fall on top of the baby, which is very easy to do.

The product, in the report: Stokke scoot stroller

I was out walking my son in our stroller and didn’t notice a small crack in the ground, the wheels couldn’t take the very small crack and came to such an abrupt stop that the stroller tipped forward, tripping me in the process. I hit my knee pretty bad on the stroller and my son could have gotten hurt if I’d landed on him.
