The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Radio Flyer 4 in 1

When bringing my grandson down a couple of steps to our yard the handlebars of the Radio Flyer 4 in 1 came out of the stroller. He tumbled down the steps and broke his nose. The handlebars are attached to the stroller with a pin and a spring loaded clip to hold the pin in place. The spring loaded clip is very poorly designed, and can easily be just tapped and will come out of the “safety” clip. The pin then can wiggle its way loose and the handlebars will come off. This is a terrible safety problem. We’re very fortunate that it happened in our yard and not on a busy street where he may have careened into traffic. Something needs to be done to prevent even more sever injuries or death when this happens.
