  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made May 15, 2015, sent to the company Jul 9, 2015, published by CPSC Jul 23, 2015

The product, in the report: Stroller MODEL NO. 143940

    SKU: 9B5C6080

The consumer states that as soon as she purchased the unit, the canopy of the stroller would swing to the back even when there was little wind. Even when fastened, when the baby would move forward, the seat would move forward as well. This is a problem because when the baby moves forward and the canopy of the stroller is out, he would bang his head on the metal bars holding the canopy. The consumer states that he has banged his head multiples times and what makes it worse is the fact that the metal bars of the canopy are covered with a slim fabric, thus not offering much protection.

06/15/2014 - The consumer states that the stroller has a forty-five-pound capacity. She was using her stroller with her baby inside it for approximate three months before the rubber in the handlebar ran all the way to the left.

The consumer states that there are two hinged loops on either side of the stroller that pose a safety hazard to consumers’ babies. The consumer had to contact the manufacturer in order to understand how to remove these hinged loops, and was then informed that the instructions were included in the instructions manual.

The consumer believes this product poses a safety hazard.

When the consumer’s one year old son is in the almost go position “\_”, he is in danger because the canopy holders he hits alway

The product, in the report: Hauck Malibu Stroller 2011 Model:142912

My report is on the Hauck Malibu Stroller 2011 Model:142912

The item was originally purchased on 11/25/11 from www.justkidsstore.com

On 1/28/12 the stroller broke. The back left wheel fell off as I was using the stroller. I stumbled and fell as the stroller tipped over to one side, and my son fell out of the bassinet. Luckily neither I or my son were badly hurt, just scared and shaken. When i tried to put the wheel back in place it would not snap into place like it is meant to do. The wheel was not properly set and the stroller was now unusable. I contacted www.justkidsstore.com and they referred my to the company Hauck that make the strollers. They asked me to make a video of the defected wheel, which i did. They determined by the video that there was something wrong with the actual frame of the stroller, and sent me a new one(almost TWO weeks later, i got the new frame).

Less then month later (on March 1, 2012 ) same problem : the wheel fell off (this time right wheel) and ones again my son fell out of the bassinet. I immediately contacted Hauck. I sent email and then spoke with Hauck manager [REDACT]and Customer service rep. [REDACT]. I asked for replacement and as of today, March 8, my request has been ignored even I was assure that this problem will be taken care as soon as possible.

After doing research on internet I found that I am not only the person who had similar problems with this stroller. This is unsafe stroller. It should be recalled .
