The product, in the report: City Mini GT 2 Single Stroller. Model#: 2153371. Serial No. 325U2100235. Mfg date: 2021.08.05
Prior to our child being born, we purchased a City Mini GT2 stroller because my sister had a good experience with her children. When my son was 14 months old, we were shopping in a downtown area, and he was getting fed up with being in the stroller. He was able to rip the plastic crotch buckle out of the strap. He was then unsecured and almost slid out of the stroller and onto the street. A child should not be able to take this product apart, especially something as important as a safety belt.

The product, in the report: Baby jogger city mini gt2 with car seat adapter
I use a Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 (manufactured in June 2021) with a Baby Jogger car seat adapter model 2083994 with a [REDACTED]. The product that was sold has an incompatibility with a later iteration of the strollers. This incompatibility makes the installation instructions incorrect. We contacted company support and they advised a workaround to get it installed. We followed this workaround (loosening the fabric) and got the product installed. However, during use the product randomly unlatches if a rough section of pavement or rough road is encountered due to the stress placed on the adapter. This has only happened on one side at a time. Luckily no injuries have happened but it has detached multiple times. After the first time I have carefully verified that it was locked initially.

The product, in the report: Baby Jogger City Mini w/ Car Seat Adaptor for [REDACTED]
My mother in law took my almost 5 month old for a walk using our Baby Jogger City Mini stroller using the [REDACTED] infant car seat with the Baby Jogger adapter. As she was walking down the street, the adapter failed and the car seat tumbled backwards out of the stroller landing on the street. My daughter thankfully was unharmed while she was strapped securely in the car seat.
You can imagine our horror at the incident itself, but after conducting additional research, I see this was a prior issue that was recalled back in 2013. The stroller, car seat, and adapter kit were all purchased new in 2015 not subject to the old recall, but apparently this is an ongoing issue that should be addressed immediately.

The product, in the report: City Mini Single Baby Stroller
By the way, this is the 3rd time I am trying to fill out this report. Even though I saved it several times, the saved link does not bring me back to my basically completed report. I wonder how many other reporters just give up because of a bad website. Here we go again:
I have a City Mini Single stroller that I’ve used since September of 2012. On many occasions, I have set the brake and a minute or so later heard a click and the brake has released. I have usually been right next to the stroller so this has been annoying but not dangerous. It often happened when I was trying to put an attachment on, or want to fold the stroller, but sometimes it would do it just when the baby was sitting in the stroller and no one was touching it. I could not tell a difference between the times when I set the brake and it came undone or when I set the brake and it was fine.
Today, I had the stroller on a sidewalk with a slight incline (the sidewalk that borders our yard). I set the brake and stepped about 5 ft away to pick some weeds. My back was to the stroller and I heard the familiar click. I turned to see the stroller rolling towards the street and heard my neighbor yell who was also witnessing this. At this point, I really realized was a safety hazard this was. If I hadn’t heard the quiet click he would have rolled over the curb into the street.

City Mini GT Stroller by Baby Jogger http://www.babyjogger.com/city_miniGT_sngl_dtl.aspx and [REDACTED] Car Seat Adaptor
I was walking my 7 week old son in our Stroller with the Car Seat adaptor, when the adaptor snapped in half, sending the car seat and our son rolling into the street. Our son suffered very minor scrapes, and was declared “okay” after a visit to the emergency room. However, this is not a safe adaptor and should not be used.

The product, in the report: Baby Jogger City Mini Mfg Date 01-25-2011 Serial Number BJ110122236
The Baby Jogger City Mini has a defect that has the ability to HURT BABIES. It’s front wheel locks automatically so if you are running with our baby and you think that the stroller is not locked, and try to make a turn, it will not and it has the ability to harm the baby and the runner.
This has not only happened to me, but MANY others (check Amazon.com, their customer service dept, and other reviews online). Baby Jogger now has a policy to replace the front wheel, no questions asked. While I appreciate this gesture, they are not letting anyone else know about this harmful defect in their product.
