The product, in the report: Britax b free stoller in black. The car seat used is the britax endeavor.
While using a britax b free stroller with the endeavor carseat. The car seat became detached from the stroller when the release lever was not being pressed. This incident required medical attention for my child. The issue is the intermediate bracket that connects the car seat to the stroller. The stroller side of this bracket is not strong enough to keep the car seat attached. The product seems to be factory spec with no noticeable defects and the part did not crack when this incident happened. The issue can be replicated (without my child in the car seat of course) by simply pulling on the car seat and it pops right off the stroller. Pulling on the car seat is the easiest way to demonstrate the problem. However, it was a small shock from the front wheel hitting a step that causes the car seat to fall off during this incident. I suspect that any incident that causes the stroller to stop rapidly could also cause this issue such as jogging, going down steps, avoiding an object.

Upon using the Britax B-Free Cool Flow Stroller for the first time without an infant seat attached my son sustained a bruise and road rash kind of abrasion to the back of his head. He was in the stroller off and on for an afternoon. He was in the restraints and nothing else added to stroller. At the time of incident he was was approximately 6 months old.

Emergency room Made Sep 17, 2019, sent to the company Oct 3, 2019, published by CPSC Oct 18, 2019
The product, in the report: Red Britax B-Agile stroller
As I attempted to fold stroller using side button, center release strap, the tissue of my right hand was compressed in the stroller folding element. Specifically, the fifth digit (pinky) of my right hand incurred severe laceration, and was fractured. I required assistance to release the stroller mechanism, in order to remove the injured hand. Medical attention was required immediately- the finger appeared to be critically severed, was causing pain, and was bleeding profusely. Upon seeking emergency medical treatment (anesthesia to area, X-rays, cleaning, debridement, bone reset, stitches, bandaging, stint, antibiotic and pain treatment), I was advised I had incurred an open fracture, with severe laceration, including damage to nail bed, and concerns about infection due to nature of injury, exposure, and damage to the tissue.

The product, in the report: Britax Bob Stroller Model Number: U671856
Britax Bob Stroller Wheel Falls Off The quick release lever for a Britax Bob Stroller does not work. This is a manufacturing defect. After emailing and calling Britax Customer Service they say we would have to purchase a new stroller at a $600 cost, which is unacceptable.
It is currently dangerous to use as the wheel can fall off when using.

The front wheel on the Britax B-Free stroller falls out during use causing the stroller to tip forward and hit the ground by the child’s feet. The wheel will snap back in, but will fall out again if the stroller is tilted back as when you would raise the front of the stroller up to get up a curb

The product, in the report: Britax BReady Stroller, black, with attachments for seat and/or car seat
While using my Britax BReady stroller with our second child, the brake indicator was “red” indicating it was locked, and it felt locked as I wiggled it. I took my daughter’s carseat out of the stroller attachments and put her in the car. Meanwhile, the stroller rolled away into traffic. Three cars almost hit the stroller and each other. The brake was obviously not set despite the indicator showing that it was. This is a faulty product that very easily could have cost my 3 month old her life.

Hurt, care not known Made Apr 25, 2018, sent to the company May 16, 2018, published by CPSC May 31, 2018
The product, in the report: Bob Jogging Stroller
My daughter wanted to accompany me on a run, not the first time but rather a habit. I proceeded to check the tire pressure and fill up the tires to the recommended PSI and check the hardware and straps to ensure everything was in working order and safe for both of us. We were well on our way and a mile into the run the front wheel shook for a monment then the next moment I fell forward due to the stroller wheel coming out of place and my child was face down in the stroller, on the ground. We both where horrified and as a parent I lost any confidence that BobJ Jogging stroller was a trusted product to have my child in. I expected more from a highe end stroller and now face a long road ahead as a military member of not being able to use a vital tool for the maintaining of mandatory level of acceptable fitness. Thank you for fielding my concerns

The product, in the report: Britax 2016 B-Agile/B-Safe 35 Travel System, Black
To whom it may concern,
I had receiver mount to unexpectedly pop out/break of the stroller and my baby car seat pop off one side of the stroller. Luckily I was able to grab the baby car seat in time without having my baby fall off.
I have contacted Britax to request my replacement and had no luck and/or response. I have also tried calling their phone number various times without anybody picking up, having to wait for more than an hour on the phone.
I wanted to report this issue with the hopes of getting a fix to my problem.
Thank you,

> Saludos > [REDACTED] > Hello I’m [REDACTED] live in Argentina. In December 2013 buy a britax b-agile. For your safety, exactly. After much searching and reading countless comments I decided that britax was the stroller I wanted to have for my baby.My son was born on [REDACTED] and before he turned TWO MONTHS of life, the car seat flew through the air, literally. Just as it sounds. It flew through the air. Thanks to God and to him that was tied nothing happened to him, more than 12 hours in a hospital studying it to see if it was not bleeding inside. After being able to take courage to face the situation, call britax and report everything that had happened to me. They never believed me, I know. Never, I think I lost more than a month of my life with claims and others. But I know that they never believed me because they told me that they had never reported something like that and that I certainly had not heard the click, that I hooked the car seat with the stroller. So Sure I’m listening to that click and I did everything right today that time gives me the reason. You just have to know how to wait.Yesterday I received an Amazon mail informing me what britax I was informing. That there had been faults in some strollers, and by accident, mine was one of them. They put it back to me, that is, they just changed it. And it was not easy because they did it only because of my insistence and because I traveled to the United States, but they would never have replaced it, since they never believed me. Besides that in Argentina is not britax, only reseller. My son is alive, thank God, but I did not manage to get the image of the car seat flying and going around a ram and imagining what could have happened. Clearly the episode I traumo, and much.Oh, and the stroller I got changed, never use it. I gave it. Because I’ll never trust you again. A pity. I hope that over the years they have changed.Below I resend the email that Amazon sent me.I expect an answer and a refund soon.regards [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Britax B-Agile 3/B-Safe 35 Travel System Black
On 8-27-2016, me, my wife, and 4-mo-old baby flew Southwest Airlines from San Diego to Sacramento and brought my new Britax B-Agile travel system to check-in at the gate. After leaving the Sacramento airport, I noticed the two click & go receiver clips were missing and lost from the stroller. Upon closer inspection, a piece of the stroller plastic that holds the receiver clips has broken off. This posed a risk of harm to my baby. I then contacted Britax via email on 9-11-2016 to ask about how to fix this problem and if they could replace the click & go receiver clips. On 9-16-2016, they said that I would need to replace the whole stroller and that the warranty does not cover this damage. They refused to replace the broken receiver clips and closed my case. Britax was negligent in allowing this unsafe travel system to continue to be used and did not advise us to stop using it. I can provide email evidence of this communication taking place between myself and a Britax representative.

The product, in the report: Britax B Safe travel system 7/14/2014 (manufacture date) model # E9LE63F
Back in 2015, my son was 3 mo. old and we were shopping at a Dept. store in our new Britax B-safe travel system stroller. The infant seat came I clicked and the seat rolled off the stroller with my infant son in it. At the time, I remember very clearly that I checked to see that the seat was properly secured in the stroller before I placed my baby in it. I couldn’t figure out how it came unattached. I was just slowly pushing the stroller along the aisle of the store and it came undone. Luckily, there was an emergency room located in the parking lot of the store. I rushed my baby over there. Thankfully, he was unharmed. He was just shook up and crying. The emergency room visit cost $600+. But in light of he recent recall, I am curious if my model # should’ve been included in the recall because it’s faulty as well. I just gave birth to a baby girl earlier this month and we purchased a new Britax because we were concerned about the old one and the new one is part of the recall.

The product, in the report: Britax BAgile carseat and stroller system
My five month baby was in his car seat which was inside his stroller because it is a stroller system. This morning it tipped over onto the sidewalk. The sidewalk had a little slant, it should not have tipped over that easily. There was nothing on the bottom of the stroller or the top of the stroller to add any weight to it, it only had the baby in it. Luckily nothing happened to him but I am very upset that it happened at all and now I am afraid to trust the stroller one hundred percent.

The product, in the report: Britax Affinity Stroller
I was pushing my 1 year old daughter (24 lbs) in a store on 10/02/16 when she reached from her Britax Affinity stroller for something to the left in front of her. Despite checking that both sides of the the seat were indeed inserted properly when I placed her in seat, the right side of the seat came out of the adapter site and the seat and my daughter nearly fell. I snapped it back in, thinking it just didn’t snap securely the first time. We finished our shopping trip and my older daughter leaned on the foot rest briefly, again causing the seat to come loose. At that point, I became very concerned and put my daughter into the car. I snapped the seat back in again, but as I loaded the stroller into the car, the seat again came off. The engagement of the seat seems loose and unsafe for use. I feel my daughter could fall if we continue use of this stroller. The stroller is the Britax Affinity purchased in 2014.

The product, in the report: Britax b ready stroller / padded guard rail
To whom it may concern,
I have recieved a real email from Amazon regarding the Britax b-ready stroller, which I purchased in 2012. I contacted Britax directly when I encounter issues with the foam padded guard rail! The customer service regarding the foam padded guard rail was awful and exhausting. It ended with a phone call from Britax accusing me of being a neglectful parent, denying and ignoring my consternation! I will take the liberty and attach the chain of emails correspondence I had with them, which led to the phone call, to this message.
Thank you kindly,

First you didn’t even address the issue of the bumper falling apart and secondly you just assume that my child was not strapped securely! Let me ask you, did the testing of the model of the stroller also test for the transition time of putting the baby in the stroller, fishing for the backs traps ( because the poor design doesn’t provide strap holders), because thats all the time it took for my baby to lean forward and take a bite out of the foam that falls apart! Which brings me to my point, this is the real issue which you didn’t address. Since I’m sensing resentment / attitude in your email maybe it is time for you to pass me to a manager who could assist me from here on out. Thanks a bunch,

Good MorninG [REDACTED], In the testing completed with that model stroller the only time a child would have a way to reach the arm bar with their mouth is if they are sitting in the stroller and are not strapped in tightly. The user manual for the stroller states that the child should be strapped at all times while sitting in the stroller. I would be more than happy to replace the arm bar for you. I would just need the serial number, batch number and date of manufacture from the stroller. Also, is there a photo you can email us of the child sitting in the stroller while strapped in securely. We would want to see if they are able to make contact with their mouth while sitting in the stroller seat. If so we may need to replace your top seat if that is possible. Consumer Services Team Lead 888-427-4829 From: [REDACTED][mailto:[REDACTED]] Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2012 1:10 PM To: US-customer service Subject: Attn [REDACTED] Hello [REDACTED], I am writing you with good and bad news. The good new is the care seat is fine and we have successfully upgraded my daughter into a convertible seat. Here is the bad news since I no longer have the chaperone to set into the b ready stroller I just started using the toddler seat, the first time she sat in it she really enjoyed the ride she felt super comfortable and started chewing on the baby bumper bar. The first time I saw her do it I said no immediately however she already had black residue / chucks from the bumper bar all over her face and in her mouth! Now please help me understand why this material is so easy to dissolve in baby’s mouth. I mean it is common knowledge that babies put everything in their mouth, so again why would this be designed with foam that comes off so easily! I just don’t get it!!!! ON the picture I have attached you can clearly see the marks of my daughters teeth and how easy it was for me to stroke of the bumper bar and take a picture of the foam pieces which still come off. I have temporarily attached a bed bumper cover over the bar so she can check on it without foam in her mouth. Can you please tell if this is normal? Is there any other tray you can replace this one with. I am getting really frustrated and I am sure you do too but I spend over $500.00 on all of this stuff and I have to go through this. I would understand if I had these kind of problems with a cheaper brand but this is getting ridiculous and unacceptable. Thanks for your time, [REDACTED]

The upper part of the exterior latch mechanism is positioned so that if our son falls asleep he rests against the area where the latch is on the exterior which has caused bruising on his head on two occasions. This occurs even when he is seated upright with the straps secure. We will need to purchase a different stroller. I have also submitted a notice to Britax.

Our nanny took our son to the mall play place. When she was leaving she went to collapse the stroller and it caught the tip of her finger. Pulling off all of the skin and her nail. She had a hard time stopping the bleeding and needed her dad (on call fire fighter) to come and put a slint on her finger and bandage it up. We did not think anything of it at the time that there was something wrong with the stroller she just thought she must have done something wrong when she collapsed. Until I received and email from amazon today stating our stroller had been on recall for this very reason.

On October 19, 2013 while leaving a Philadelphia restaurant I severely injured my pinky finger. It occurred while attempting to collapse the stroller so we could place it into the trunk of our car in the valet parking area. When I went to collapse it, my pinky finger got caught and I finally got it released. My finger immediately throbbed and swelled up. I put ice on it when I got home thinking that it would feel better. My school nurse wrapped it for me so it didnt get bumped or used. After a week, I went to a doctor to get it checked out. I had x-rays and it was then determined that my finger was fractured from the stroller accident. I had to keep it in a spint for 3 weeks, then returned back to the doctor for more x-rays. My finger was healing, however I was unable to bend it. I tried to exercise it regularly, however after 4 months, my finger still is in pain. The finger will never be the same looking or working. I am unable to grasp things with my finger fully bended.
I have collapsed this Britax stroller many times when I watch our grandson and this has never happened to me before. But, I am so afraid to use the stroller now. Especially, after reading the recall claim article. I could not undstand what had happened at the time of the accident, however after reading the article it all came to me what had happened.
I was at our daughter’s house on Saturday when she told me about the recall. After reading about the other people that had injuries from the stroller, I now understand what happened to me that day.

The product, in the report: Britex B-Agile stroller, black, purcharsed August 2012.
This past July I was closing my Britax stroller by pushing the button on the side and letting it fold up when it snapped shut trapping the top of my left pinky finger inbetween the medal bars. I cried out b/c I could not release or open the stroller to get my finger out b/c I only had one hand. Luckily my husband was there and I wasn’t alone and he laid my daughter on the ground and was able to open the stroller and release my finger. My pinky was bleeding and the nail was completely cracked and the side of my finger had burst open due to the pressure. I ran inside to clean it off and get ice. I iced it for hours, the bleeding stopped but there was still swelling. My husband went out and got me a splint for my pinky b/c I couldn’t bend it or touch it without pain. It was uncomfortable to sleep, I couldn’t wash my hair, do dishes or anything that required the use of my left hand. I struggled to change diapers and do daily chores that would bump that finger. After some time the nail turned black and blue and months later the nail fell off. Because I work with children and it looked gross I had to wear a [bandage] for months changing it several times a day. It’s not February and my nail has still not fully grown back but it’s getting close. I’m nervous everytime I close the stroller and am extra careful. We simply can not afford to buy a new stroller but needless to say I’m very UNsatisifed with the one we have and would like a new one. Right after this happened I thought - I wonder if this has happened to a lot of other people? I dismissed the thought b/c I figured if it had the product would have been discontinued ... I was shocked to see it being recalled but I also felt better about what happened to me. IF another adult would not have been there my finger would have not been released and it scares me to think about what would have happened.

The product, in the report: This is a stroller thats already been recalled. Britax 2012 B-Agile and B-Safe Travel System, Black
This is about B-Agile Stroller that being recalled recently. There are several problems with this stroller. 1- Obviously the latch that locks the folded frame is a safety hazard. I hurt my finger several times getting squeezed in between the stroller chassis. 2- Wheels are bad quality and plastic start breaking after using 5 months. 3- Break gets tuck most of the time and break release doesn’t function. It needs to be forced.

The product, in the report: Britax B agile double stroller
While removing my Britax B Agile stroller from my vehicle the release mechanism on the side released, the stroller swung to a open position but pinched my right index finger in the hinge. Due to the angle it was almost impossible to open the stroller back up because the double stroller requires two hands on the straps to undo it as well as click the release tab.
Upon release i had about a 3/4 inch cut, not deep enough to require stiches but deep, as well as immediate swelling and was bruised for over 6 weeks.
We literally have not touched this stroller since that and instead used our jogging stroller.

I was collapsing the stroller to put it in my car and as I was pushing the button and pulling up on strap the tip of my pinky finger on my right hand got caught/pinched in the hinge. The skin lateral to my finger nail was cut/torn from my nail and was gushing blood and numb. I went to Urgent Care and they took an X-ray, my finger was not broken. They said it was a bone bruise and stitches were an option since the wound was so deep. I was given the choice to have stitches or take care of the wound by keeping it bandaged and cleaned. I was given a splint to wear and instructions how to care for the wound. The tip of my finger is still numb and feeling has not come back even though the wound is now healed.

My 10 month child was in a 2012 Britax B READY stroller. He as able to lean forward and bite chunks of the foam padding off the child arm rest, resulting in gagging/choking until I was able to retrieve the chunks from his mouth. As the child faces away from the parent in the stroller, the fact that he was able to chew chunks of the padding off may have been able to go unnoticed. I believe the use of foam padding on a stroller component accessible by young children when they are faced away from adult supervision poses a serious safety and choking hazard and suggest the soft foam padding be replaced with a firmer rubber padding.
To maintain use of my stroller, I have removed the rest of the padding from the arm rest to eliminate the choking hazard.

The product, in the report: B-READY STROLLER
Our son was being pushed in the Britax B-ready stroller from behind. Fortunately my wife was not jogging with headphones like many parents and was able to hear our son choking. Our son is about 8 months and has teeth which bit into the foam covering the arm bar. The pieces then became lodged in his mouth and caused him to gag. We are fortunate my wife is a government trained childcare provider who was able to remove the foam pieces and save our son from worse.
I contacted Britax and notified them that all children using this product are expected to die in a repeat scenario with parents listening to music and possibly without.
The customer service agent stated no previous reports have been made concerning this product. I asked if there was any fabric cover they can provide to prevent childen from dislodging foam from the arm bar with their teeth and subsequently choking, but they said there was no other available option.
The advisor mentioned the possibility of removing the otherwise desireable arm bar, but was not able to provide a product improvement.
During communications with Britax customer service they mentioned the harness could be tighter, but our son has a long body and should be largely irrelevant. Parents should not have to rely on a secondary safety device because of defective product design. On a side note the manual/instructions do not identify the arm bar as a hazard that must be mitigated by the use of the harness or how tight it must be to prevent choking.
The CPSC reporting form does not have “AE” loaded so I selected New York as the State. I am in the military and stationed overseas, but this horrible incident could have occurred in the United States just as easily.
Because of our location we are having extreme difficulties accessing, uploading, and reporting this event with pictures and video. We have also since learned of other incidents by doing a [REDACTED] search “Britax arm bar choking amazon b-ready”

Today in a store my five month old son was strapped in tightly into his stroller. We were standing in line and my daughter was standing in front of the stroller playing with my son when it tipped over. Because he was tightly strapped in he did not fall out of the stroller but hit his head on the inside side. This is not the first time the stroller has tipped easily but it is the first time it has tipped over with him inside of it. It was a light bump from my daughter that knocked it over and I would expect that a stroller should be able to withstand a light bump without falling over.

Chaperone Stroller Complaint!
How can a company that is known for car safety make such an unsafe product??? Obviously BRITAX car seat engineers know nothing in terms of how to design a stroller. What idiot engineer at Britax designed this needs to have his fingers placed under the snack tray and smashed. This is the only stroller I’ve seen that forces you to snap up the snack tray in order to collapse the stroller down to put it in your car. When you want to unfold the stroller to use it you must remember to put the snack tray down BEFORE placing your baby in the stroller. Otherwise there is a very real chance that your baby will get his fingers caught under the snack tray and either cut off or smashed. There are metal parts, kind of like hooks in the snack tray that snap into the frame of stroller when you lower it. THIS COULD EASILY break a child’s finger if you inadvertedly forgot to lower it first and then pushed it down to snap into the frame.
I will never forget my baby’s scream when this happened less than a week after owning this finger guillotine. He ended up with small cuts on his fingers, thankfully nothing requiring an emergency visit.
At the very least there needs to be a warning sticker right on the snack tray to remind you to lower it before placing your child in the seat. Plus if anyone else like grandma uses this stroller without knowing this fact, this could put poor grandma in the hospital for a heart attack when she chops off her grandkids’ fingers.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a lawsuit over this yet. The Engineers at Britax don’t realize that parents can get easily distracted with crying screaming children or if they are in a rush to secure them into their stroller - you will probably forget to lower the snack tray before belting their kids in the stroller. Kids are squirmy, quick moving and this is a just a fact that should be considered by Britax and all stroller makers. Frankly this stroller should be recalled and the snack tray needs to be a NON-MOVING part of the stroller.

Purchsed new Britax Chaperone Stroller. On first trip out the wheel falls off. Looks to be a defective wheel. Metal breaks off of the wheels itself resulting in possible danger to baby.

The product, in the report: Britax B-Ready Stroller
An audible click heard when the brake pedal is pressed can give a false impression that the brake is fully engaged when it is not. When the brake is not engaged, the stroller can move unexpectedly posing a risk of injury to the child occupant.

The product, in the report: Britax Chaperone Stroller - color is Cowmooflage
My mother and I were walking in a mall with the stroller. My mother was pushing the stroller. In the basket underneath the stroller, we had a lightweight bag (less than 2 pounds) and a diaper bag(less than 8 pounds). The basket under the stroller suddenly collapsed and the diaper bag fell out at my mother’s feet, tripping her and causing her to fall. Fortunately the baby was not in the stroller at the time. My mother hurt her knee, arm and shoulder. She was badly bruised and bleeding. When I called Britax the next business day, they told me this was the normal operation of the stroller basket. They said if I put any weight in the basket except in the very middle, it would collapse and trip me. I looked through the book supplied with the stroller and it said nothing of it collapsing or not putting weight in it. There was not even a weight limit given. I looked online at the Britax website and there was nothing there, not in technical specifications or anywhere. On the basket itself, there is a 10 pound weight limit stated on a sticker, which was not exceeded by what I had in the basket. I don’t understand how it could be part of the design to collapse under any weight and never tell a consumer about it.
