The product, in the report: Baby Trend Passport Switch 6-in-1 Modular Stroller Travel System with EZ-Lift Plus Infant Car Seat
I purchased the Baby Trend Passport Switch modular stroller with car seat. After only 6 months of light use, the stroller suddenly started to fold shut with my child still seated. The release button was not pushed. Simply holding the stroller base’s handle will cause it to fold unexpectedly. I had to manually hold the stroller open to remove my baby and prevent him from falling to the ground. Extremely dangerous product with the latches being only flimsy plastic. Baby Trend needs to be looked at closely as their products offer little in terms of quality and safety.

The product, in the report: Baby trend race tec jogger style stroller. Black and gray. The part that is the issue is the Inter locking brakes at the bottom. It came as a set with a car seat from same manufacturer.
I was putting the brakes on my infant’s stroller when it rolled after I thought they were locked. I looked down to find the plastic missing from the interlocking part on the wheel. This is a baby trend brand Race tec jogger stroller. No injuries since my daughter was not in the stroller at the time. I always lock the brakes before putting her in it (in her car seat).

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Sit N Stand Plus Double Stroller Model SS76773
My 18 month old grandson was playing and decided to crawl under the 2 seat stroller. We heard him laughing with his 3 year old brother, and then shortly after he started to cry. My wife and I attempted to remove him from the storage area he crawled into, but it was tight. I pulled down on the material in hopes the snaps would release and they did not. Within 2 minutes of trying to get him out I ended up cutting the fabric to release the tension and remove him.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Sep 25, 2019, sent to the company Jan 8, 2020, published by CPSC Jan 23, 2020
The product, in the report: Stroller
The consumer indicates that she was in her garage when buckled her son in his stroller and engaged both rear-wheel brakes so she could retrieve a blanket that was behind the stroller. When the consumer turned around, the stroller was running down the thirty to forty-feet long driveway. The consumer ran but was unable to reach her son before the stroller hit a trash can and fell forward with her son still strapped on. The consumer’s son’s face hit the curb, where he sustained injuries to the side of his head.
The consumer called her family Doctor and he arrived to check on her son. The Doctor advised the consumer to get in contact with her pediatrician, and in the meantime to monitor her son closely day and night.
The consumer states that the stroller is used approximately three times per week for between fifteen to thirty minutes each use.
The consumer plans on keeping her stroller for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Jetaway compact stroller. 40”W x 28”L x 31.5”H
We have a 17 month old daughter and one baby on the way. We have a Baby Trend Jetaway stroller, previously sold at Target Stores. We purchased the stroller December 31, 2018 while on vacation because we needed a smaller scale stroller for travel. Since the date of purchase the stroller has collapsed down with my daughter inside 3 different times. On the third time, the back support cracked in half causing a sharp corner on the back of the stroller. When I tried to contact target, they told me there was nothing they could do since it was out of the return date and they no longer carry the stroller. I contacted the Baby Trend manufacturer, they were not outwardly concerned about the safety of their product and they suggested that I send the stroller in to the warehouse, leaving me without a stroller for at least 2 weeks. They told me since it was out of the 180 day warranty, they would asses the damages and replace the parts as needed. I do not want a replacement stroller, what I want is a safe stroller for my daughter. They would not issue a refund nor a brand new stroller since they do not carry strollers in stock. So we are stuck with a malfunctioning, unsafe stroller, and a company that is not interested in catering to the safety of their customers. I will report the most recent collapse in the estimated dates below as it happened on a walk on the sidewalk.

The product, in the report: Jogging Stroller
Baby Trend Expedition RG, purchased 4/28/2018 from target.com; front wheel fell off while jogging; my 2 year old sustained a minor head injury and the stroller was damaged. Only one of the two front wheel lock and nut sets fell off. The front wheel nut shouldn’t have been lose. The front wheel would turn perpendicular to the path when walking or jogging down a hill; which never made sense and may have caused the nut to loosen. When the accident occurred, I had just walked across a street and was on a flat, paved path. The stroller was used on paved paths and mostly stored in my trunk. I believe the stroller has a design defect that places tension on the front wheel lug-nuts and that causes the nuts to loosen and the wheel to fall off. The front wheel doesn’t want to fold sideways (parallel to the stroller) when the stroller is folded and placed in the suv trunk and the stroller wheel turns perpendicular when there is a little speed while pushing the stroller; such as occurs when walking or jogging down even a very small decline.

The product, in the report: Ez ride 5 travel system
I bought the baby trend ez ride 5 travel system I’ve had it about a year now its had problems since the jump. Its been extremely hard to fold into place the wheel and steering have always been an issue but nothing compares to what recently happened the stroller now leans to the side my baby looked like she was about to topple over just all of the sudden and once that happened it no longer locks into place you can just pick it up and it folds up its now so low I’d have to hunch over to push it. I can no longer use it safely with my child in it.

The product, in the report: Cityscape jogger by baby trend mint and black color
On Monday, July16th 2018 I was attending a softball game that my husband was playing in. During the game the weather began to shift and rain was clear. The game came to an end I began to strap My 3 month old son into the car seat that was attached to the jogger. We have been using this jogger car seat combo since our son was 3 days old. Before leaving for the game my mother and I both attached the car seat to the jogger and properly checked by pulling up on all points of contact to assure maximum safety for the baby. We live right across the street from the softball park, walking to the game is a regular occurrence. When the game ended the wind had become quite strong So I got the urge to get my son home quickly. I quickly strapped him In assuring safety once again and used both visors on the car seat and jogger to cover him from the wind. When I turned onto the sidewalk leading to our home I began to Jog, I felt the jogger stall and then within a second the jogger had released itself into its folded position and my son went crashing to the cement with the head of the car seat still attached and laying on the ground. Terrified that My son was hurt I quickly came around the front of the jogger and released the car seat and ran the rest of the way home holding the car seat in my hands trying to calm my son down, leaving the jogger behind with my mother who was shocked by what she just saw. As soon as I got through my front door not 2 minutes after my son had hit the ground in the car seat I took him out to assess him for any injuries. Luckily he wasn’t hurt and merely made it out without a scratch. Ultimately this terrified me as a new parent, my son and my mother who saw her newborn grandson almost be ejected onto the cement. We have not had an issue with the product since we purchased it after he was born. We acquired it for the jogger itself because our other car seat was not compatible with any other joggers. I want to be assured that when I buy a product that is made for jogging that My son will be safe. This product has proven to be a hazard and I am upset that this has occurred.

The product, in the report: Link to stroller on walmart website: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Baby-Trend-Debut-Sport-3-Wheel-Stroller-Boulder/52053480 Baby Trend Debut Sport 3-Wheel Stroller, Boulder, all black
The stroller’s front wheel will sometimes not roll and will flip over when trying to turn. The first incident happened when my daughter was 12 months old at the mall. I went to turn the stroller around and the wheel did not turn causing the stroller to flip over. Luckily, I had a blanket laying next to my daughters head and she was not injured.
The next incident happened in the grocery store two weeks ago when the same situation occurred. I went to turn the stroller and the front wheel did not turn with the stroller causing it to flip over. Even though my daughter was strapped in correctly, her head hit the metal frame on the stroller when it fell on it’s side causing a cut across her temple. This stroller is extremely unsafe for children. When a child is in the stroller, it makes it top heavy and unsafe. Reviews on this stroller will also state that it will tip over very easily.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend City Clicker travel system in the color Dove (black and grey)
I was pushing the baby stroller taking a walk with my infant. The stroller is a Pram like stroller (bassinet). I went to cross the street (busy main road in our town) it is a slight bend so I pushed the stroller slightly to the left to get down the sidewalk ramp then went to swiftly cross the street. The front 2 wheels of the stroller got stuck sideways making the stroller unable to move forward and the force of me pushing tipped the stroller forward. Jolting the baby and causeing me to trip on the back as I moved to the left to grab the front of the stroller. Which also left me with scrapes and abrasions to my right leg. Had I not buckled the baby in she would of fallen out onto the street with some force. I then turned around to walk home and the wheels locked another 3 times in which I had to stop walking to fix them forward. I went online to check reviews of the product to see if mine was faulty and alas there were pages of reviews that the same thing was happening to others. The reviews said they contacted the manufacturer, I even sent them a message with no response. I checked to see if a recall was issued and it was not. A child could easily be thrown from the stroller due to the faulty wheels, the person pushing could also trip over/ or even fall over the stroller once tipped. When the wheels lock up the stroller comes to an abrupt and forceful stop. You then have to adjust the wheels every time which when pushing a stroller you have to stop to adjust them that may leave the operator and child in a potentially dangerous situation such as the middle of the street, parking lot etc.

We purchased a Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System. We barely got around to use the stroller in the warmer weather. IT IS NOT SAFE!! THE FRONT WHEEL WOBBLES HORRIBLY, EVEN AFTER TIGHTENING IT LIKE THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL STATES!! IT MAKES YOU LOOSE CONTROL OF WHICH DIRECTION YOU WANT TO GO!! IT ALSO TIPS VERY VERY EASILY, LIKE WHEN YOU TURN NORMALLY!!!!! LUCKILY WE CAUGHT IT WHEN IT HAPPENED!! IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOGGING STROLLER BUT I CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO TEST THAT OUT! THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOME LITTLE BABY GETS INJURED!!

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Model #TJ93158
Baby Trend ELX travel system. Model #TJ93158. While using this product the front wheel wobbles so violently that I was worried my baby could get shaken baby syndrome. I also feared her bouncing out of the car seat while In the travel system stroller. I called the company and they recommended locking the front wheel. After I did so, the wheel still bounces and wobbles. Many mothers I have talked to are concerned as well. I just stumbled upon this website to report this while researching the product Unfortunately there are many videos and reviews that address this issue. It’s coined the name “Death Wobble”. I tried to contact the company and they weren’t concerned with this problem .I have only used my stroller to walk, even though It’s a jogger stroller. I fear what would happen if this stroller Is put to the test of jogging. No Injuries were sustained, but It Is a major concern amongst a lot of parents.

I purchased a Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller from Target. I was very satisfied with this stroller; at first it was very stable. However, within a few months of purchase it is wobbly and unstable.
While walking with the stroller my child’s arm was badly pinched and bruised. His arm was caught between the right side of the rail, where the top & bottom sections connect. This has happened numerous times now. Unfortunately I am not able to use this product any longer because of this. The Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller has become wobbly and dangerous

I bought this stroller for me & my grandson & when I folded it up both of fingers were caught & pinched both my fingers & brought blood gushing from my fingers. This thing is extremely dangerous. I came close to loosing both of my fingers. It has the same problem as the [REDACTED] strollers have, but there is no recall on this brand & there needs to be one, as I said this thing is DANGEROUS. I can’t imagine what it would do to my grandson’s hands.

The product, in the report: Black and green babytrend sit and stand double stroller model ss76047
I had my baby in the front of the seats and my toddler in the back. The back was taken apart to the sit and stand mode. We were walking on a side walk and the wheels began to shake and fell off. The stroller flipped forward and the baby slid down between the tray and seat and scrapped her knees on the sidewalk. I put the wheel back.on and continued walking. The front wheels keep falling off . I stopped using.g the stroller and contacted the company of the issue and they will.only help me to buy new wheels. My safety concern is the wheels falling off and stroller falling forward and baby getting hurt due to slinging thru opening between tray and seat.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Snap n Go Model 1350 R stroller
My baby fell badly while in his stroller when his one year old brother pulled the stroller down. Luckily he was apparently uninjured, although the event was so frightening and we did call 911. I feel it is an unsafe stroller because it is easily toppled over while in use on a flat surface. My toddler wandered over and started playing with the baby while he was in his stroller. The carseat was snapped into the stroller and the stroller was properly snapped open. This was a Baby Trend Snap n Go model 1350 R which my mother bought at a secondhand store for $40.
This was a snap n go stroller universal carseat stroller. The toddler who pulled the stroller down was able to do so without much force at all. He was just playing and the whole thing pulled over from the front down. As he pulled it down the carseat ended up upside down completely. There was a very loud thump and my baby was screaming. There is no conceivable way this could happen without a defective design. He is only 21 months old and he is not capable of flipping a car seat over. His brother is 3 months old and weighs over 15 pounds and the carseat weighs several pounds in and of itself.
My child could have died and honestly I do not know how it is that he wasn’t badly injured. In that moment I really thought he was going to die. I never want to see another stroller of this kind in my life.
I think the problem is that the design is poor and the carseat is meant to rest facing towards mom but the weight distribution makes it heavier on the side most vulnerable to tipping over. So it is both off balance as a stroller (being light weight) and also off balance once the carseat is in. There is not really a safe and secure way to strap in the car seat on both sides. When it toppled over the back side where it snaps in came loose completely and the carseat was out of the stroller upside down. I would very much appreciate someone contacting me to tell me whether this stroller will be recalled. If it is not, I plan on suing the maker. This entire system of snapping in a carseat to a universal lightweight stroller needs to end before babies die.

The product, in the report: Baby Tend EZ ride travel system eclipse
I bought the baby trends ex ride travel system eclipse from Walmart.com may 2013. I had my baby boy in sept, he is now 11 months old and the stroller is completely unsafe. It has always felt off balanced. He was sitting on the flat concrete side walk tonight strapped in with the breaks on, he tipped the stroller over hit his head off the concrete. He now has a scrape and a bump on his for head. The stroller tips over so easily. He is 30 inch tall 26 lbs so he’s well in the limits and age of the stroller recommendations. I have pictures of his head, I hope he will be OK, however this could be deadly or a very serious injury. The buckles are only lap belts and luckily kept him hanging there so he didn’t fall completely out but if it had the shoulder straps he would be safer however the fact it tips on flat concrete from an 11 month old moving is very dangerous.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller
I purchased a Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller at Target.com. While trying to jog with the stroller, the front wheel began to slightly wobble, so I stopped, checked the wheel, it appeared there were no problems, so I started walking and the stoller was fine so I started a slow jog again and immediately the wheel began to wobble and it caught and stroller overturned I was able to catch the stroller, but I fell. I contacted Target.com to return the stroller however it was purchased about 5 months ago (before I had the baby) so I was unable to return it. Now, in looking over the internet, there are many, many people having the same problem with the front wheel of this stroller. If you attempt to jog with the stroller, the front wheel is highly unstable -- and this is a jogging stroller. This product needs to be fixed before someone’s baby is seriously injuried.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend Expedition jogging stroller, green/gray fabric
We finally had an occasion to use the jogging stroller we received as a baby shower gift (instruction manual states not to use for babies younger than 6 months), but the tires needed to be inflated. In attempting to inflate the tires, we noticed they were mismatched: two are Kenda (right rear + front; rated for 35psi) and one is Innova (left rear; rated for 30psi). As we inflated the rear Kenda tire, it started to bulge around 5 psi; we stopped inflating for fear it would burst. Mismatched tread and psi rating is a HUGE safety concern, as it is with car tires. The bulging tire could well have burst, or if we attempted to actually use the stroller, may have caused significant harm to my son.

While on a family vacation to Disneyland we were using our sit and stand double stroller for our boys. One of them was out of the stroller playing and the other was being watched by my father sitting in the front seat of the stroller. He was throwing a fit. He arched his back and straightened out the rest of his body. His head got struck between the seat back and canopy umbrella which left him with small bruise marks on the back of his neck that I have pictures of.

The product, in the report: Expedition Baby Trend Jogging Stroller
I received a Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller for my son’s baby shower in 2011. I was very satisfied with this stroller and used it with and without the baby seat in it many times. However, during the past month my son who is 26 months old was hurt by this product twice. While sitting in the stroller his left arm was badly pinched and bruised. His arm was caught in between the left side of the rail, where the top portion connects with the bottom portion of the stroller (the hinge) just below the handle bar. At this point, I am wrapping a towel or blanket around the place where the top and bottom pieces slide up and down, to prevent further injury to my child. The Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is dangerous. I don’t know if I can return it since I have had it for 2 years. Baby Trend products need to be safe for children. Something should to be done to prevent this type of incident from happening again. No child should be hurt by the stroller.

When I took my children out for a walk in the Baby Trend Double Jogger with a swivel wheel (in the swivel position), the wheel would shake terribly when I walked at a moderate pace. I had to walk very slowly to keep it from shaking. We switched the wheel to the locked position, following the instructions. When my husband took my child out to jog with the stroller, the wheel suddenly fell off the stroller! The stroller tipped and my child hit her head on the pavement. Two babies were strapped into “baby trend exposition double jogger” and the sitter locked back wheels at the top of her driveway. She started to walk into her garage and stroller became unlocked on one wheel then moved backwards down her driveway, spun around (as one wheel was still locked). This movement unlocked the other wheel and stroller rolled backward off driveway and started to flip over. As the babies were about to hit the ground face first, the sitter was able to catch the back wheel that was in the arm and pull stroller back down to ground before it hit the ground.
The 15month old suffered a left broken humerus. The 7month old suffered bruising on inside leg.

My two and half year old son was riding buckled in the rear seat of the Baby Trend Sit n Stand stroller, facing the rear as he is supposed to. He had taken off his shoes for the ride around the neighborhood, and he kicked the right rear tire and got lacerations on his left pinky two and middle toe from the spokes on the wheel. I love this stroller, but my personal opinion is that the open spokes on the wheels are a safety hazard. My son’s experience today proved this.

The product, in the report: baby trend Expedition LX stroller. Model LG94068, Date of Manufacture 03/01/10 QY. Lot and Qty # 04021314. Black with grey trim.
I have used this stroller for daily walks for about a year. I do no running with it, but occassionally walk quickly to catch up with my husband. Starting at about 7 months of use, I noticed a wobble while casual strolling, that felt like the stroller was trying to turn sharply to the left while being pushed. I checked the tire pressure which was within specs and all tires were the same pressure. I attempted to lube the wheel bearings which did not seem to work. The wobble would come and go, but was more annoying that anything. Fast forward to the beginning of this month, September. I was walking quickly to catch up with my husband when the stroller began shaking violently while on a level surface and almost tipped over due to the wheels lifting off of the ground caused by the shaking. I removed my daughter and checked all the wheels. I then tried walking quickly with the front wheel both locked and in the unlocked position. The condition was still violently present. Once again, the tire pressures are all even and within mfg spec according to the manual. I am not sure what the issue is with this product, but no longer feel safe using it with my daughter inside due to the sporatic and violent condition that occurs.

The product, in the report: baby trend jogger Expedition-gray mist Model # jg94052, It is gray and black.
I purchased a baby trend jogger (expedition-gray mist) from target on February 4th, 2011. The part of the jogger that comes apart to bend for folding, doesn’t completely lock(jiggles a little) when it is open and in use. I first noticed this when i put it together but thought nothing of it, figured that it was part of the structure design. On a walk one day my son, [redacted] 2 1/2 yrs old, started crying and was saying “owie” while holding his tricep. At the time i couldnt see what was wrong so i just assumed that he had gotten bit by an insect. I later noticed a cresent shaped mark in the above mentioned area but still couldnt figure pout what may have caused it. After the third time this happened i realized that if his arm/elbow was resting on the sides of the jogger, where the bend is, then it would jiggle and pinch his skin in it. I am no longer able to use the jogger because of the harm it causes my child. I have contacted baby trend via e-mail just proir to this site but have not yet heard from them. I do not yet know if it is just my jogger or if they all do not lock thouroughly, at best i feel some sort of fabric cover should be placed over that area to protect the child.
