Hurt, no treatment Made Feb 25, 2015, sent to the company Mar 6, 2015, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2015
The product, in the report: Kids II Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2013/Kids-II-Recalls-Baby-Einstein-Activity-Jumpers/ Model # 90564 Model Name: Musical Motion Activity Jumper Date Code: X3420
We replaced the recalled part of our Baby Einstein Jumper with the new part. However, the new part seems even more dangerous than the one it replaced. My son puts the wings of the bee in his mouth and jumps, causing him to hit the roof of his mouth with the edge of the hard wing. Also, he has pulled down on the part and had it pop back up to hit him in the face. He now has a bruise on his cheek because of this. I thought that was why the original part was replaced in the first place. Why not replace these with a plush bee? That way if it pops back to hit them, it’s soft. You could even add some crinkle fabric to the wings to make it appealing to the kids. A hard, thin edged teething item on a bouncer just isn’t a great idea.
