The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: A small low to the floor tampoline with a handle for children 12 months and up serial # 1992N (there is also another number on the tag--16011-P0002907)

I purchased the Alex Toys Jumpin Jr First Trampoline for my 1 year old granddaughter. The ages are 12 months and up. There is a handle with a rubber covering on it that the baby holds onto when jumping (supposedly a safety feature). There is not any other covering over the rubber. Babies at 1 year are still teething and they are still chewing on anything they can get their teeth on. My granddaughter was able to bite a large piece off of the rubber covering-thankfully, we were right there and were able to get the piece out of her mouth before she swallowed it. This is a huge safety issue. On the website, Alex Toys states that all of their products are non-toxic---hopefully the rubber is! There should be some kind of nylon or canvas covering over the rubber portion which would make it less accessible for the child. I contacted Alex Toys via email twice and left a message on a voicemail. Noone has gotten back to me. I want something done so no child chokes!
