The product, in the report: Infant and toddler gliding exersaucer center
My grandson of 7 months old was playing in the Fisher Price INTELLITRAINER. The problem was he pulled hard on the mirror assembly (its a U type configuration), pulled the 2 ends out of the frame and within seconds had shoved the assembly post in his mouth and started down his throat lucky before hurting himself. On inspection it was apparent that the 3 point plastic molded holding parts were worn open from the baby pulling on the mirror assembly and easily pulled out very easily causing choking or blinding of the baby. I contacted Fisher price Customer Service about this and looked if there was a recall on this toy. They got back to me the next day and basically said because this toy was out of production that there was nothing they can do even though this toy is still out in the market and being used. When asked what they can do I requested that Fisher Price at least put a notice on the product recall list to inform other consumers about this potential problem. They refused thus I am requesting CPSC to look into this poor product design flaw that could very well cause a death. Thank you
