The product, in the report: Baby Einstein Neptunes Ocean Discovery Jumper, an infant activity jumper with a blue plastic frame/base, turquoise fabric seat, rotating seat, attached toys and adjustable height settings. The product is designed for an infant to sit upright in the suspended seat and bounce/play while supported by the frame.
An infant was using a Baby Einstein Neptunes Ocean Discovery Jumper, model 10455, indoors on a flat, level floor. The jumper was assembled and being used normally, and the height setting was adjusted appropriately for the child. While the child was playing in the jumper, the entire unit tipped/flipped over with the child still inside it.
The child struck the floor during the incident and sustained scratches and other bumps/injuries. Because of the fall and concern for possible injury, the child was taken to the emergency room for evaluation.
There was no uneven flooring or unusual use of the product at the time of the incident. The jumper appeared to be positioned and used according to its intended purpose when it overturned. I am reporting this because I am concerned that the product may present a tipping hazard to infants during normal use.

My 8 month old (19 lbs) was playing in his Baby Einstein Neptune Jumper, and had it tip backwards on him when swaying to and fro (completely backwards). I have noticed on multiple occasions when he quickly shifts his weight in the jumper that the base will slightly lift off the ground again increasing the likelihood of the jumper tipping over. Clearly this is a design flaw with the product as he is 6 lbs under the weight limit for this jumper.

It has no identifying information but it is a plastic bumble bee with a blue stem we received I think in Fall of 2013.
In 2013, the CPSC & KidsII recalled this item: https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2013/Kids-II-Recalls-Baby-Einstein-Activity-Jumpers We contacted the company and replaced the recalled sun piece with the replacement bumblebee piece.
My new baby is now using this toy and the bumble bee is cracking.

My daughter is 8 months old, her weight is 20lbs and height 30” I placed her correctly into the baby Einstein jumper on an even flat wooden floor she tried to reach for the objects around the jumper and the whole thing tipped completely over with her in it causing her to bump the front of her head on the floor while trapped in the jumper which was on top of her. This jumper is a standing jumper and should not move. We had to rush her into Fairview children’s ER to be seen for her head injury.

The product, in the report: It is the baby jumper. Baby Einstein Kids ii activity seat. It has a blue caterpillar on it with a sun, cardinal bird, a piano, and a roll around ball that makes noise.
I used the jumper just as it’s supposed to be used. I put my 7 month old baby in the seat. The seat got forward just enough to throw him out under the bar, onto the steel bar then the floor. He hit his head on the steel bar on the bottom then the floor. He has also gotten several small cuts on his legs after being lifted straight out of the seat. We still can’t figure out what caused the scratches. The jumpers are not safe. We used the product right and they are lucky that there was no severe medical issues.

My grandson was playing in his bouncer and started screaming we could not figure out what the problem was so a couple hours later we tried the bouncer once again and after about 5-6 minutes he screamed again. Upon investigating what was going on we noticed 2 circle reddish purple marks on his right forearm. After he calmed down we once again put him in the bouncer to try and see what had caused the marks. Less than a minute later he was playing and it happened again. The roller ball was pinching his arm when he attempted to play with it. The bruises are still on his arm more than a week later.

He started screaming uncontrollably and sustained a bloody nose and bruises. This is the third time he has been hurt by the sun on this product. We had to remove the sun from the bouncer.

I researched and found that there were others saying the same and then found a recall but the code on mine is OJ5, which isnt listed. We purchased the Little Einstein Bouncer for my son when I was pregnant with him, upon him turning 4 months he was finally able to use the product as he feet could completely touch the ground, and he had the strength to bounce as well. Once he began to teeth, she showed much interest in the “sun” toy that is next to the blue cloud toy on his jumper. Numerous times he has actually pushed it down to where is flung back and smashed him in the face. Mind you he isn’t too tall right now so it was literally right it his face. He has probably done this 3-4 times already, each time startling him quite a bit and causing him to cry. However this time he did it again and actually cut his upper lip when it flew back. At this point, we can’t even let him play in his jumper (which he loves) unless we are actually sitting on the floor to make sure he does not go for the sun. In addition, he managed to pull off the bar that is attached to the musical mirror and actually managed to break it off completely! I am very disappointed as this product was not cheap and had so many good reviews before purchasing. After pulling off the bar and being kept from playing with the sun toy. There are not many options left for him besides just bouncing. Very disappointed in the quality of our product so far.

On the Little Einstein’s activity saucer, there is a crab attachment with ribbon accents. My 7 month old was playing with the crab by spinning it around and the ribbon came unraveled. The small pieces of thread wrapped around his little finger so tightly that removing it with scissors was a challenge. The thin thread left deep indentations in his fingers almost cutting his skin and cutting off the circulation.

I purchased the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper for my nephew in 2011. I no longer have the receipt and was not aware of any recall concerning the flower toy. My granddaughter has recently started using it and on Thursday, December 10, 2015, while she was playing, one of the strap/springs that hold the platform and seat to the frame suddenly broke. Thank goodness I was sitting beside her and caught her head as the seat plummeted down. I cannot find a model number or date code on the seat, but am including a picture of the model. I can also send photos of the damaged toy if necessary. I don’t see any way to replace the strap/springs. This was an expensive jumper and should have lasted for many years. I would certainly hope that the company has reviewed the straps and made improvements and will replace this activity jumper.

We iced his finger as soon as he was free from the jumper, but it was still swollen.

Hi, We have the Baby Einstein Activity Jumper, model# 60258 First the seat cushion started ripping, I noticed and called Kids II immediately. Then what I feel is MORE of a safety concern is yesterday, my 10 month old son was able to break off the flower teether. It did not just come out of the space to secure it in, it BROKE, the plastic snapped and part of it is still in the whole where you snap the flower into. Thank goodness I was near because on the end of the flower (broken part) there were little pieces of plastic that he could have swallowed if he put in his mouth. I called the company and they are sending me out a new jumper but I have concerns with this “flower” that has been recalled and now I have an issue with it. I Recently bought a Baby Einstein Neptune Activity [REDACTED] from Walmart. My 6 Month old Son was playing in it today when I noticed he had a red string wrapped around his fingers and his wrist. This string was attached to the Red Crab toy with Ribbons on it. The Red Ribbon frayed while my son was playing with it and wrapped around his fingers and wrist. This is Unsafe, the string could have cut the circulation off to his little fingers and/or his wrist if I had not noticed it in time. He also could have eaten the red string as he is only 6 months old and puts Everything in his mouth!!

The product, in the report: The Baby Einstein Rhythm of the Reef Activity Saucer is an activity saucer that allows the baby to be suspended in a standing position with the ability to rotate 360 degrees and play with toys.
We purchased the Baby Einstein Rhythm of the Reef Activity Saucer from Target on 06/25/14. Our seven-month old baby was playing with the octopus and the two ribbons attached to it begun to unravel into long threads, which he managed to get all tangled up in. The threads were wrapped around his body, neck and little fingers. As this is a 360-degree Activity Saucer, he kept getting wrapped up more tightly in the threads, cutting off his circulation.
Since we did not leave him unsupervised, we noticed the issue in time to safely remove all the thread from around the baby. Our baby was NOT injured. However, this is a potentially fatal defect. If someone were to leave their baby out of sight in this for even a few minutes, the octopus is a major strangulation hazard.
I emailed all this information to Kids II, the manufacturer of Baby Einstein toys tonight. The model number is 60246. The Date Code is: AJ1014

My son was playing in the Baby Einstein activity center, the one that just had a recall for the sun on a spring. We were shipped the replacement section for the sun part. The replacement section has a yellow bee with blue wings on it, my son was playing with it and it had sprung back and hit him on the nose right by his right eye. Left a raised bruise about 1/2” long. Luckily it wasn’t a serious injury but this could happen to any child and had he been a little stronger, it could have done more damage. I just wanted to make you aware in case it becomes a more widespread problem with other kids.

Caller purchased her baby’s jumper from Babies R Us in June 2011 and wasn’t aware of any problems until the Sun toy attached to it was recalled July 23rd, 2013 with release# 13-244. She contacted the firm’s recall hotline and obtained the bumble bee toy that replaced the sun.
February 17th, 2014 her 6 month old son was playing with the replacement bumble bee toy while sitting in his jumper and the stick for it easily broke. Caller is reporting due to the potential of harm to her baby and any others this could happen with. There are no injuries to report She contacted the manufacturer February 17th, 2014 and is being shipped a second replacement toy at manufacturer expense.

My son is six months old and recently injured himself on the Disney Baby Eistein learning activity center that is also a type of bouncer. It has a small purple bar with two sliding musical notes that also spin around. My son’s top teeth are just coming in. They have broken through but have quite a ways to go before being all the way in. Since he’s teething he likes to bite on the pieces. However yesterday he got his top tooth stuck or caught underneath the musical green note on the purple bar. As he jerked it free it caused his gums to bleed terribly all over the note and his face. His tooth seems fine but he could have pulled the tooth out. There are also large plastic parts that are snapped into a green tray that come out and can be choked on. I have photos. I love Eistein products but this one needs to be modified. It’s dangerous.

I am reporting an incident with my 4 month old daughter, using the Baby Einstein Neptune Activity Saucer. I placed her properly in the seat and as she started to play the seat fell which in turn caused her to fall though it. I brought her to the ER and thankfully everything was fine. The seat is poorly made canvas material, and has clips that are used to hold it in place but I believe the problem lies when removing the babies. This causes the clips to loosen to a point in which a child can fall though. Also this product is rated for a 4 month old which I feel is wrong, this product should only be used for babies that can fully hold themselves upright. Please investigate this product so that no harm comes to more babies.

I own a Baby Einstein exersaucer/activity center which I purchased less than 8 months ago from Walmart. This product does not include stoppers at the bottom and the product is wobbly and does not give the consumer the option to make it sturdy. My son now pulls himself up on everything and because this model does not have the stoppers, it is very dangerous. The product is unsteady when he pulls himself up and because of this he has been prone to fall and occassionally bump his head on the floor. If I am not careful where I put it, he could fall and injure himself on furniture. He is unable to play with the activity center if he is not inside it because it is not safe. There are enough hazards in a household without adding one that is supposed to be marketed for this age group.

Caller has an 11 month old daughter who was given a Jumper with a sunshine spring toy.
Baby has been crying at times when playing in jumper but parents had no idea why until they observed her pulling back on the sunshine toy attached to the jumper and saw it bounce back and hit her in the forehead then then above the eye by her temple.
The parents pulled back on the thick plastic sunshine toy and say that it is very tightly spring loaded and comes back with considerable force.
Callers believe this to be a safety issue due to the thought that if hit hard enough by this toy in the eye it could damage a baby’s eyesight.
He and his wife found bruises on their baby’s face where the sunshine toy hit her
Caller is reporting because this toy has caused harm to his child and could cause harm to other children.
He contacted the manufacturer 06/01/2012 and submitted report to them but he would like more action for the safety of other children.

The leg adjusters that snap into place very easily come out of the slots. My son only 4 1/2 mnths old was jumping away and I noticed that the legs on the exersacuer were really short and he seemed like he would almost fall out. When looking closer I noticed that the plastic adjusters came out of the slots and it readjusted the height of the exersaucer. If my child had been any taller he very easily could have leaned forward and fell out of it. I do home daycare and have 3 infants in my care right now. I will not place my daycare kids in this for fear of them falling out when I am not looking.

The product, in the report: Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper
I Purchased the Baby Eienstein Mucial Motion Activity Jumper. I called the Baby Einstein in late July concerning the Musical Motion Activity Jumper that I have. One of the anchors kept coming out of the unit and was a choking hazard for my son. In addition, I later found when adjusting the level on the unit, very small plastic pieces from the red ball broke off and posed a potential ingestion hazard for my son.
I was transferred from Baby Einstein to the manufacturer, who wanted to send me new parts. I expressed my concern over the anchors and how exactly getting a new one would correct the problem as it seemed the anchor was just too small to lock into place. I was then advised by the representative that this was a “known issue” and that they had redesigned them a few months back to correct the problem. I was very upset by this and asked if there was a recall because I frequently check for recalls and never saw anything about this product. She advised me it was “not” recalled. I then became very upset and was crying and expressed to her that I felt this was extremly irresponsible of them and Disney for knowingly having a potential choking hazard with a product and not alerting consumers. I found my son on 2 occassions with the anchor in his mouth before I took the anchor away completely. What if he had choked on it before I saw him and then to know that Disney knew all along that it could happen? I was just disgusted and saddened. The representative asked me if I still wanted her to send the parts and I advised her that I did not want the parts as I had no way of knowing if there were other issues with this product and did not feel as though the company would be responsible enough in the future to properly recall items that are a potential danger to children. I told her that I would probably just throw the whole thing out. She then advised me that she would speak to her supervisor and get back with me. As of today, more than a month later I have heard nothing which only upsets me more.
How could Disney, be so irresponsible? It is the responsible of the manufactuer to take proper precautions when manufacturing a product. It is their responsiblity to make the safety of toys for children a number one priority and by not being proactive when there is a known potential hazard, a potential “life threatening” hazard, that is just inexcusable to me.
I hope that you consider administering a recall at this point as it would be truly heartbreaking to hear on the news one day of someone’s child who is loved more than anything in the world by his/her parents and has not yet even learned to walk is taken from them due to choking on a piece of product that was known to be a hazard but felt that the company’s bottom dollar was more important than the life of an innocent child who doesn’t know yet to keep things out of his mouth. The product, in the report: The product is the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper. Purchased within the last year.
My five month old daughter has the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper and we found that she pulled one of the small plastic purple toy pegs from the toy and was chewing on it. It is small enough to be a choking hazard. I looked the toy up online to see if it had been recalled (it had not) but I saw many other complaints of this happening to other children.

The product, in the report: Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper
After only a few uses of the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper, our 6 month old discovered an issue with the yellow sunflower item attached to the activity center. She was able to bend it over which makes it catapult back towards her face. After it cracked her in the forehead (twice) resulting in tears, we removed this toy. I’m not sure how safe it is to have the holes exposed. This toy is a hazard. This yellow sunflower plastic piece is exceptionally hard, heavy, and springs back with too much force for little babies still developing coordination. An adult can recreate this by just bending back the sunflower piece with their hand.
