  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 26, 2022, sent to the company Mar 29, 2022, published by CPSC Apr 12, 2022

The product, in the report: Graco Modes Pramette Travel System with SnugRide Infant Car Seat (black)

My 5 month old daughter was in her Graco Modes Pramette Travel System with SnugRide Infant Car Seat- the stroller was being used for the first time, and the car seat was snapped in to the stroller as specified in the directions.. I (her mother) was pushing the stroller. We were walking on a trail at the nature center and went down a slight incline- the car seat became disconnected and detached from the stroller. The carseat dropped to the ground, and went rolling down the hill with my daughter in it. It was rolling backwards like a hamster wheel Spinning & rolled approximately 5 times before finally tipping over to the side and coming to a stop. I immediately ran after my daughter and got her out of the car seat & she vomited. We were about 15 feet from a 100 ft drop embankment. If we would have been just a few steps from where we were my daughter would not have made it. I thoroughly examined the carseat and stroller to see what made it become detached and I noticed that the toddler tray plastic piece seems to be defective and will not stay attached where it is supposed to, causing the car seat to come off like it did in our incident. Other than being shook up my daughter is fine and is not injured. This could have been a much worse situation if we would have been near a road, water, or closer to the embankment that was on our trail.
