The product, in the report: Joovy Room 2 play yard
On August 12, 2012 I purchased a Joovy Room2 portable playard from Amazon. I did not start using it until recently for my 21 month old.
There is a number B001I463G2 referred to as the ASIN number. The dimensions are 39 x 39 x 31 inches and the color is red. UPC number is 877408007012. And the model number is 701. Here is a link to the product.

I put my child in the play yard and she was moving about in the yard and they she lay down and I notices that she was kind of stuck between the floorboards of the padded floorboard. I told myself that this was a bad design and not a defect. The floorboards had separated within the mattress. There are four boards and they are not contained in their own compartments so they can just slide about within the shell. I thought this was maybe a fluke so I just moved the floorboards into the proper position and secured the mattress cover and mattress again to the frame. But this happened a couple more times and I became very concerned that real injury could result. It does not help to make sure it is secured as the directions show. The boards just move about with an active toddler inside. The child weights 23 pounds. She dropped right through the boards which landed her right on the frame with the bars and she got stuck and was quite distressed. I could not tell if she was hurt or scared. I checked for any recalls on this product and found none. I decided it was totally unsafe to use. Upon closer inspection I can see that there is a line of stitches on one side of the mattress along the edge of each floorboard but the stitching does not go through to the other side so the boards are not secured in any way and are “free floating” within the cover. I have not contacted the manufacturer yet but plan to because I cannot use this product.
I filled this whole thing out once and got at error at submission so am not going in as much detail as i did the first time.
