The product, in the report: The toy looks like an egg head character inside of a hamster wheel. Model 31034
My 7 month son was playing with one of your ‘AMBI TOYS’ in his [REDACTED] when it broke into five piece. The four (4) smaller pieces are the perfect size for a 7 month old to try and eat and have jagged corners that would likely get stuck in the throat. Thankfully, when the toy broke I was close enough to pull him out of the [REDACTED] before he was able to eat any of them.
I have attached three (3) pictures, described below... Image 2512 shows the five (5) separate pieces. Image 2513 shows where the four (4) smaller pieces broke away from the toy. Image 2514 shows the size of the four (4) smaller pieces.
I’m very surprised that the toy broke. My son was in his pack and play, which doesn’t have any hard surfaces on which to bang the toy. And he’s only 7 months old, so he doesn’t have the strength to break a well made toy.
We have four (4) other ‘AMBI TOYS’ that I’m now nervous to continue letting him play with; trumpet, smiling sun gears, keys on key ring and box with shapes. What is the failure rate, in percent, of these toys? What are typical causes of failure?
