The product, in the report: Eddie Bauer [play yard]
The [play yard] is VERY wobbly and unsteady. I contacted Dorel Juvenile Group regarding this issue and the customer service rep told me this particular on was NOT recalled and was indeed safe to use. I told her that it was NOT safe to use and about the problems. She again told me it was fine, and to use it. Again, I told the rep it was unsafe, very wobbly and it seemed like it was going to fall apart. The rep then informed me that it looked fine on her end. I could use it or not use it.
I was VERY disappointed in the lack of concern.

The product, in the report: Play yard
I had purchased in target a play yard for my baby back in March 2010. The play yard is a Eddie Bauer I am doing a research on the internet and it seems it was recalled back in 2009. My concern is that the plastic edges started breaking into little pieces and my son by moving the play pen now is completly broken. I am writing today because I was able to catch the little pieces before my son did but if not he could have easily put it in his mouth and choke.

The product, in the report: Eddie Bauer Complete Care Play Yard model number PY135AHS with light, vibration, music or nature sounds, teddy bear wind up mobile, has bassinett insert and removable changing station. Mine is red black and white. Says 2009 Dorel Juvenile Group on the sticker on bottom leg. Also says 100709GB (i think its the manufacture date) on this sticker. The same sticker also has the model number that I listed above.
My eddie bauer complete care play yard model PY135AHS with bassinett and changing station and mobile IS COMING APART AT EACH CORNER DUE TO THE RIVETS COMING OUT OF THE PLASTIC! I have folded this play yard MAYBE 3 times total so it always is in one spot. My daughter is only 10 months and barely learned how to stand, so I would like to know why the MOST EXPENSIVE model I could find can’t even hold up to regular use! It is getting so unstable that I will soon have to stop using it and REPLACE IT! I already can’t use the changing part or my daughter would roll out because the loosened rivets caused unstable support of the changing station. You can bet IT WONT BE ANOTHER EDDIE BAUER/DOREL PLAYPEN I BUY THIS TIME. While we’re on the topic, the mobile IS A SAD PIECE OF WORK TOO! It may not be dangerous, but since it winds up you would think it would spin around a little faster. Can barely even see it moving.
