The product, in the report: Portable Baby Playard/Pack N Play

Our pack n play/play yard has a floor mat that is made from some sort of hard material, surrounded on the outside by fabric. The hard material inside seems to be disintegrating in several places, and as a result our infant is able to fall in between the floor mat and the bottom of the pack n play and become trapped, which poses a suffocation risk. It is a fairly new product, and has received normal use.

The product, in the report: Cosco Funsport Playard, chocolate brown/tan Giraffe print,43.25”L,29”W,28.25”H.Folds compactly into a carry bag with 2 wheels

My 9mo. old son was in the Cosco Funsport Playard (Giraffe Print) for about 15 minutes and started screaming. When i ran to see what happened I didn’t see his head just his body. The board that folds up and is used for the base unlocked from inside and made it so my son thought he could go under, but he tried head first and the weight of his body pushed down at that moment and I don’t think he could scream but some how his body was able to move enough so he could and thats when I saw him and tipped the playard over holding the board up with one hand and with the other I pulled my son out.His face was red and neck had a redish/blue line a cross it.

SHE DOES THIS WHEN LOOKING IN OR OUT THE DOOR,WINDOW,ETC. SHE HAS FAIR BALANCE BUT IS STILL NOT REAL STEADY ON HER FEET. SUDDENLY SHE FELL BACK INTO THE PLAYPEN AND SCREAMED. THE NET SIDE OF THE PLAYPEN HAD BECOME ENTANGLED WITH HER TWO LITTLE LOWER TEETH. WHEN SHE FELL BACKWARD IT NEARLY PULLED THEM OUT. SHE HAD A BLOODY SORE MOUTH AND TWO LOOSE CROOKED TEETH. NOW WHEN SHE DRINKS IT HURTS, WHEN A SPOON OR A NIPPLE TOUCH IT, IT HURTS. SHE IS AFRAID TO GET BACK INTO HER PLAYPEN OR EVEN EAT OR DRINK. WE HAD A REALLY BAD WEEKEND. MY DAUGHTER WORKS FOR A DENTIST WHO WILL FOLLOW HER. I FEEL THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE FOR HER ANYMORE. THIS NET IS TO LARGE OR SOMETHING. THIS COMPANY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY HER DENTAL EXPENSES,IF THIS EFFECTS HER DENTAL DEVELOPEMENT. SIGNED [REDACTED],R.N.
