The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Ingenuity Java Jungle Playard

Bright Starts Java Jungle Playard is correctly set-up with bassinet in place. Dog was trying to get a toy that rolled about an inch under the side. The bottom popped up and the legs began to buckle inward. Thought perhaps it was just a fluke. Today I went to move the playard to vacuum under it and the bottom popped up again, the legs buckled inward and the entire thing collapsed. Child was not in playard either time, there were no injuries other than the playard collapsing on my foot. Another issue I have with this particular playard is the bassinet insert does not lay flat. Not sure if that would be considered a hazard though.
