The product, in the report: 4moms breeze go portable travel playard
Towards the end of my child’s nap the nanny noticed that the top railing of the 4moms breeze go playard had broken and deflected under the load of my infant child pulling down on it. It was deflecting far enough that he was able to get a leg and hip over the edge and was almost fully out of the playard. This is very concerning since it could have allowed the child to become tangled or fall out of the playard. It appears that the complex linkage system is not properly designed to handle the range of loads that could be applied to it. What is even worse is that this failure mode renders this expensive product dangerously useless.

The product, in the report: 4moms Breeze Pack and Play Plus. Manufactured date: 20210201. Model: 4011071.
We opened a brand new 4moms Breeze Pack and Play Plus purchased at a buybuyBaby retailer. Two of the connecting arms on the bottom of the playard were broken off and their connecting pins were found in the box. A third connecting arm was on the verge of breaking. The arms were connected to the playard base with single metal pins that were supposed to be held in place by a weak piece of plastic. We could tell this was very poorly designed and if the arms were to snap while in use it could cause harm to a child in the playard. We felt obligated to report this in case other consumers have found the same issue and this is widespread on the product. This was also reported to the manufacturer, 4moms, but they were uninterested in investigating the issue and did not want the product returned for inspection.
