First aid Made Sep 12, 2026, sent to the company Sep 16, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 30, 2026
The product, in the report: Rascals (formerly Rascal and Friends) size 4 diaper - I do not have the details below as I opened the box, emptied the diapers, and threw the box out.
I have been using Rascal diapers (formerly Rascal and Friends), which is a sister brand to [REDCATED], for years without any issue. Recently, I opened a new package of size 4 Rascal diapers and there was a sudden onset of a severe diaper rash for my 10 month old son. His bottom is extremely red with pealing on both sides of his buttocks. I have used thick diaper cream to help heal, but the rash isn’t resolving after 4 days. Then, I saw that [REDACTED] diapers are causing chemical burns, so I am switching diaper brands due to this.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jul 24, 2026, sent to the company Jul 29, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 12, 2026
The product, in the report: Rascals Diapers Size 3 184Ct
We used one Rascals diaper for the first time for approximately 2 hours and my 8 month old daughter was immediately red in the diaper area, anywhere the diaper was touching her skin. We stopped using the diapers and went back to her normal brand overnight. This morning 7/24/26 she had what can only be described as weeping, blistering chemical burns. We took her to her pediatrician and she was prescribed a course of antibiotic and steroid ointment and she is clearly uncomfortable. When I restock diapers, I immediately throw out the packaging, so I do not have any information to help identify the batch. The box was gone before we used the diaper.
