First aid Made Apr 14, 2025, sent to the company Apr 17, 2025, published by CPSC May 1, 2025
The product, in the report: The pamper size is 4, and the prints were Tie-Die for + Cactus Cuties. Exact diaper lot numbers have been attached below.
I am reporting this incident because my infant experienced a severe allergic reaction after wearing Honest Company diapers. The reaction was so intense that the top layer of her skin appeared raw, inflamed, and in some areas, it looked like the skin had sloughed off. No parent should have to watch their baby suffer like that, especially from a product marketed as gentle, clean, and safe. I feel that the company has failed to take the situation seriously, offering only a small credit of $12.99 while avoiding true accountability. I want to prevent this from happening to other children.
What type of product(s) were being used? Honest Company disposable diapers size 4 purchased from Target
Who was using the product(s)? The diapers were used on my infant daughter, who is 12 months old.
How were the product(s) being used? The diapers were used exactly as intended for regular, daily diapering. They were changed frequently and appropriately, and no creams or outside products were applied that would have interfered with the material.
Were there any injuries that happened or may have happened while using the product? Yes. My daughter suffered a severe skin reaction in her diaper area specifically between her buttocks and vaginal area. The skin was raw, inflamed and top layer seemed to be sloughed off.
How did any injuries occur? The injuries occurred as a direct result of wearing Honest Company diapers. After switching to a different diaper brand, the symptoms cleared up significantly, confirming that the Honest diapers were the cause of the reaction. The top layer of skin appeared to be irritated and damaged due to direct contact with the diapers material.

Emergency room Made Jul 12, 2019, sent to the company Aug 7, 2019, published by CPSC Aug 21, 2019
The product, in the report: Honest Company diapers, size 3
Fibers on the exterior of Honest diapers, sizes 3 and 4 rub and begin to shed everywhere. They are stringy and scratchy. My child tried to eat them. But they got in my eye and I suffered corneal abrasion. Fibers continued to disintegrate once in my eye and were difficult to remove. Children may eat them or get them in eyes and is extremely dangerous. I contacted manufacturer who pretended it was just a defective lot but it is all diapers I’ve received from them when ordering in May and June in sizes 3 and 4. Friends in a moms group has same experience. Honest company is in denial an37 YOF consumer reports that the fibers on the diapers shed and have disintegrated with use. Her child tried to eat the fibers. Consumer reports getting fibers in her eye and suffering from corneal abrasion. This is also a hazard for children who may attempt to eat them.d there needs to be a recall.

Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 26, 2017, sent to the company Aug 3, 2017, published by CPSC Aug 17, 2017
The product, in the report: Honest Company size 1 diapers. Prints include: anchors, pandas, elephants, zig zags. All diapers being used were part of a bundle, which had 5 sealed packages.
There are two, what looks like, chemical burns on my sons left waist band and left leg near the groin. The one by the groin appears to have blistered and is peeling. The one on the waist band has remained aggravated for quite some time (three weeks).
