The product, in the report: Advent Naturals Bottles
We use Advent Naturals bottles (NOT classic.) The nipples on these bottles have a very large base on them, designed to look like a breast. When the baby was just a month, or so, old, I noticed she was sounding funny while feeding her. When I looked more closely, I realized that the nipple was large enough for her to suck on, then the base part covers her nose, up almost to her eyes. If you don’t pay close attention, and move your hand upward a little, the baby can not breath. We had a few more incidents like this, until if finally clicked in my sleep deprived brain, to watch it every single time. She is 6 months old now, and we still find ourselves having to be extra careful especially when feeding her in her carseat. The angle she sits at, you can’t see her face while feeding her, and it does the same thing. She is old enough now though, that when it happens you can hear her trying to “suck in” and get her breath around it, and know to move it. I’m just worried that someone else may not notice until it’s too late.
