The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: First Choice Plus Starter Set Glass, with 4 Baby Bottles Including Latex Teat and Bottle Box, 0-6 Months

A consumer advocate tested NUK glass baby bottles and found lead paint on the outside. This is one of several baby bottles that have been found to have lead paint on the outside markings, with no recall or warning to parents. How many more need to be found before the CPSC takes action?

The product, in the report: NUK Orthodontic BPA Free 3-Pack 5 oz bottle for girls

I purchased the NUK Orthodontic BPA Free 3-Pack 5 oz bottle for girls back in January 2013. I began to use the product in mid-February and on April 4, 2013, while going to fill one of the bottles with formula I noticed what appeared to be spider webs forming on the interior of the bottle. I placed my finger in to remove it and more “spider webs” began to form off the bottle. Upon taking a closer look the “spider webs” were in fact the plastic fibers peeling off the interior of the bottle. I have since stopped using this bottle along with the other two that came in the pack as well as any additional NUK product that we have purchased.
